In the early 1900s, a man opened a seafood restaurant in San Francisco called Bernstien's Grotto. It closed in 1981.
The restaurant featured a mock-up of the bow of a Christopher Columbus ship on the front.
I decided to build my version in HO.
I cut down a Revell Santa Maria for the ship portion.

Darryl, That's a hull-of-a-model!
Did customers dine inside the ship at the prototype site, or was it just a bow to get attention?

Very clever Darryl, unusual structures are most interesting. I walked past that restaurant many times.

Thank you again for all the kind words.
Before I found a sign for Gary's, I was going to call it Nemo's Sea Galley.
This is the sign that will go on both sides of the building:

Quite a sign. It’s beautiful.
I have to ask: who is Gary and what is the significance of HH62?
