Happy Birthday Bruce!!!

S bound just S of the 75/127 split running down the middle finger of the mitten. Colors are at peak and the N bound side looks like lots of folks skipping lawn work and going to see. The wind is a stiff crosswind and giving my Doll a hand full driving. The waves along the beach side roads were splashing up onto the road in places as we came across US-2.

TomPM contractor folks weíve dealt with all seem to have so much work they donít give a damn about new business. Our cement guy we just had yesterday finish up on our build is half booked for next year, drives an unmarked truck and wonít answer his phone. To top it off he canít find any one to help him. He had his 15 yr old son help him yesterday, kid busted ass. Our builder said his daughter is a hard worker as well. The Dollís 11yr old grandson would be catatonic if you put him outside and took his electronic mind numbing gadget or his stuffed animal away from him. Heíd be a mess if he had tie shoes, not elastic. Donít raise your voice at him or ask him to do a physical task.

Well, gotta go. Everyone have a good day.

Be Well.

That's a similar story we heard from the contractors working on our house ('17-'18 mostly.) Average age was probably over 50. Only 1 had anyone younger than 30 working for him. Several said, "I can't even get my kids into the business, and they know how good a living you can make from the building trades."

Society and educators telling kids they're losers unless they have a college education. Yet, they couldn't themselves fix a flat tire, or stop a running toilet. We're one generation away from nobody know the heck they're doing. IMHO.

So maybe the solution is to start offering 4-year college degrees in the building trades... B.A. Housing Studies :-)

Coming along

Needs more decal setting solution, and then a matte coat, before a bit of weathering.
