Kevin, nice to see some new photos of your work, again being presented in this build. This hotel is certainly looking like it's been around for awhile. Keep up the good work!

went thru all 15 pages, great looking structure. Even more impressive because its scratch built and I O scale. Camera hides nothing when showing O scale. Will be following to the finish !!!

thanks for looking everyone. i came across another dilemma. in the drawing the front gable spans 4 balcony posts. using an ho ruler, i carfully measured the gable's span, coverted it to o scale, and cut it out accordingly. the issue is; the gable as cut doesn't quite make it all the way to the fourth post, it's about a half inch away from it. i think its a result of the fact that i didn't have the drawing when the balcony railiings/posts were laid out. i'm not going to recut the gables. i think that it will be fine structurally, but maybe not asthetically. i am going to replace the three posts that it does span because they are about a half inch too short. doing so will cause them to reach all the way to the bottom of the gable roof's floor. there is another roof covering the balcony, and it will be low enough to reach the remaining posts. speaking of floor, i have an order of 1/16" plywood coming from northeastern lumber (and some 2x6" cuz i'm low). the plan is to glue the front and rear gables to the plywood and then add a ridge board to the top. i held the bracing of the gables up a sixteenth from the bottom so the plywood floor will glue right to the bracing and give the roof assembly some rigidity and beef.

using an ho ruler, i carefully measured the gable's span, converted it to o scale
Kevin, a suggestion, perhaps you could purchase a ruler with "O" scale markings, to skip the conversion step?
That may help....
