Thank you Blair. The MEW import is a latter version. I have three. I just love the wagon top boiler of these earlier versions. They are my favorite engine.

Could a MEW be backdated with the motor moved or are there other changes to be made?

Yes, but I concluded it would be more work that way. I even got A MEW CM 0-6-0 with the thought of converting that to a Wagon top Mogul. The MEW are good runners and with a can motor they're even better. It's funny to me now but the reason I didn't go with the CM's was their ALCO details on the drivers and drive rods. Oh, well it's working out.

A little progress. This is the last Mechanical addition to this mogul, the external water pumps.
I just need to add some cosmetic details to the boiler.
