There may be more to this story!!

Bachmann UK released a OO USA 0-6-0. Then back at the last Denver convention there was talk of releasing just the mechanism of that loco for scratch building an On30 loco. Ray and I talked about it several times. The bean counters at Bachmann killed off the idea. But there has been interest at Bachmann for this sort of loco in the past. These military locos will have a wide spread interest internationally.

It's great if modellers can influence manufacturers as to what they produce. But it's a two way street. If the manufacturers sit up and listen then it's up to us modellers to support them with our credit cards.

I'll be buying one and bashing it into something that 'may have been'.

"Might have been"or actually was ... here's a couple of pictures of one of it predecessors, A French Army 4-6-0T Baldwin. This type of locomotive was used in Morocco just before and during the first world war.This type of cab would give it quite a decent American appearance, wouldn't it.

Im excoted about this! Im not t amilitary modeler but the Lost River Railroad here in West Virginia had a fleet of these lil guys. Plus there were many sold into indutrial use .....a lot on road construction and dam projects......many ere owned by county road deparments to power theur gravel pits and such........
