Finished up O'Neil's (waiting for a friend's wife to bring photog lighting etc over to take final pics.
yesterday I started on the SWSM Railroad camp.

i grained and stained the boards yesterday:



and this morning i damp brushed the boards with red iron oxide acrylic craft paint:

the only mystery in life is...why did the kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

i used 2 shades of burnt umber pastel chalk and washed it into the grain with rubbing alcohol (91%)

i started siding the rear wall tonight. then my eyes got all blurry and i had to stop for the night.

i worked on the rear wall a bit tonight until my eyes got all blurry and had to call it a night.




there's two windows to cut out, but it's spending the night face down under a brick and i just turned on ken burns "baseball" and cracked a cold one. g'night.

i finished siding the wall this morning before work. it's back under the brick until tomorrow, when i will trim off the excess and cut out the two windows, then I'll start on the front wall.
it looks alot like an old garage that's about a mile from me.....
