I started a small project about 3 years ago. Built a 1200mm x 300mm base and put the track down and that was the end of it. I came across it a few weeks back in our store room so i dug it out and started working. Finished the track, added some weathering, backboard that needs some work but its on the way to something interesting.
The backdrop building is card stock, the cylinders is the start of a some kind of grain or cement infrastructure and the other small building will become a rule dealer.

Good start. I particularly like the transition on the end. Will that be a road overpass?

Hi Bill, It will be eventually. I was trying to build this layout cheaply so started experimenting with card. The brick is just Faller brick card sheet glued to polystyrene foam blocks :-) doesn't get much cheaper then that.
Might get to my LHS today for some science material and get stuck into some ground cover on this one and finish off the little bis of track work.

Time to find me some DPM structures to make some more background flats :-)

Its been fun working on a layout instead of dioramas for a change. Forgot how hard detailing in scale was but getting there.
Didn't have much light so the colour is really off on these. Im waiting for LED strips to be delivered to finish it into a shadow box style diorama.

Thanks Mike,

Just has a bit of a blue cast in the pictures.

All the structures are scratch built.
The addition to the HLE structure is styrene sheet and strip.

Fuel Dealer is styrene scribed base with brass pumps and tanks made from an old Film canister and a scarp of plc pipe. A lot of detailing and weathering to do here. i need to re spray the base as i undercoated the pumps. Thinking a chain mesh fence will look good,

The patch of bare ground I'm thinking of using bar mills mooneys plumbing or something similar high detailed foreground structure.

I really need to look into some backdrop photos before i do to much more also.

Trains are running though and I've decorated an RS2 in a custom colour and adding its own numbering and decals for a private road.

That would really set it off. Any pics of the RS2?

Not a lot to report on this one. I thought there was more but hadnt realized i had posted the last batch of photos.

Been working a little bit here and there. I got the top and fascia done over the week. Added LED strip Lighting to the inside the front. Looks a treat.
In regards to modeling. Im doing a little bit when i feel like a break from Hon3 and HO.
Have Really enjoyed having something small as i can keep it realistic and actually feel like im finishing a project.

Ill try get it out and take some photos over the weekend. Actually have trains running on it now. I should do the point control soon i guess.

Haven't had much time over the past week for this one.
Just 2 pics here but a little blurry using my camera on my phone.

I really need to clean up the track wiring there in the front. Looks horrible in the photos.
