This is only the first post in the thread. The original thread is still open for questions, comments, and discussion.

I recently put together a step-by-step tutorial for converting a Walthers SW-1 switcher to DCC and installing a Lenz Silver MP decoder in it. Here's the link, in case anyone is interested:

The tutorial also includes installing a rear LED headlight in the cab, upgrading the rear U-joint with NWSL parts, and re-lubing the gears. This little jewel now cruises at a whopping 0.33 sMPH on speed step 001; a testament to both the original Roco motor and the BEMF of the Lenz decoder.
