Thank you all for looking in. I plan on doing a bunch more trees next, at least until the caspia runs out. It seems to be getting harder to find.

Thanks Jan. Actually I built my first model 64 years ago (a model plane) and haven't stopped since. No I don't still have it.

Hi All. As I have a few tank cars that are just sitting I decided I needed someplace for them to go. I have some beautiful plans from Gilbert Gribi's website that fit what I wanted perfectly. They are copyrighted so I don't think I can show them here, but a look at his website will show them. He has lots of great stuff.

I had to change the model a little because the tanks I have are from a Campbell HO kit. Bigger around and much shorter. The hatches on top are cut down barrels and piping is brass tubing. Nothing is glued together yet except the wood. There is more piping to add plus walkways and a pumphouse.

So far it has been a fun build. Be back when finished

Thanks everyone. Since we moved to the old folks home I lost my spray painting area. I can only spray outside (Mrs Hopeless's orders) and we had 4 straight days of rain. Got the tanks painted yesterday so moving forward again.

Don't you hate it when it rains in your paint booth. I've been getting that a lot lately, too.

After rain and other 1/1 stuff I finished the tanks tonight. Now to clean up the workbench and start something else. I have a hill behind my town that I need to finish before I can finish the town, so maybe that next. I already have 24 trees built for the hill.
