Here is the box:

This will be a challenge to build, as I will explain in future posts.

Thank you, Karl. It’s fun building one of these oldies. It sure makes me appreciate kits of today.

Mike great start on the tower. All those windows beg for interior detail. Very nice work. Looking forward to more.
Mike,
Thank you. I’m thinking of doing at least a minimal interior. We will see.

Posted - 01/11/2021 : 7:19:46 PM Thank you, Greg. It does seem to be going quickly. The weather’s been cold so I’m spending more time indoors modeling. Plus, I’ve done the easy steps. The roof and trim will slow me down.

Posted - 01/11/2021 : 7:14:10 PM Mike, were on page 2 and you already have it almost built! Good call on painting the interior, it's all looking wonderful so far.

Posted - 01/11/2021 : 5:06:03 PM Thank you James, Larry, Mike, Rob and Scott.
I painted the walls inside and out, figuring that with the numerous large windows I should use green for the interior. The windows and doors are primed and painted. And, I’m working on the roof.

I’ll be working on the roof and glazing the windows.

Posted - 01/07/2021 : 6:36:02 PM Mike. It's not called a Challenge for nothing. I'm sure you'll have no worries sorting out this rough kit. I guess for some manufacturers, the quality just wasn't as high years ago.

Posted - 01/05/2021 : 7:04:10 PM I'll be following along. I see what Vic was talking about - the instructions show the 2nd floor door almost directly above the 1st floor window; in the pre-cut wood the offset is larger. |

Mike, this old kit looks like a lot of fun! Made even better by offering your talent & skills for your friend, by building it for him. Best of luck with it!

Greg, Thank you. You’re very generous in your praise. I enjoy building for other people, especially when as deserving as this particular friend. Mike |

Thank you! It is indeed somewhat a challenge, but so far I’m winning (I think), so I’m having fun.
