  • Friday morning lounge

Good morning Guys all incoming crew. I don't see Jim here yet, so I'm opening up the lounge. where is everyone? Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day. As far as food, your on your own. Sorry!

I was telling Rick on the On30 lounge, That, like me, I went from never seeing a Doctor, until I retired, then it seems like I've seen every type of Doctor there is. From young women, to younger men than my own son.

64 degrees, with sunny skies here in Rhode Island at the moment.

Not sure again what today will bring yet. I'll have to play it by ear and try to get motivated. Did the lawn yesterday. I still would rather deal with cutting lawns than shoveling snow.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Good morning Lou and the incoming crew. Thanks for opening the lounge, Lou. I put a Sour Cream Coffee Cake on the counter for the crew.

I will finish mowing the lawn this morning, pick some weeds, and fertilize the hanging plants. After that, some modeling is planned.

Our doctor is just a little older than our oldest grandson, Lou. It takes some getting used to.

    Have a great day!

Good morning all. Mostly cloudy bright 65 at the edge of Lake Michigan. Quite sedate out there today.

Sausage, eggs and grits with some of Grandma Sweeter’s big biscuits just out of the oven and some of the butter she just churned in the big crockery churn sitting on the screened in back porch, a big old flour sack towel across her lap as she worked the handle up and down. The grits have been on the stove slowly cooking since right after sunup as has the pot of chickory and coffee and Grampa Nelson’s Postum is hot as well.

We saw Top Gun-Maverick last night in town. Good entertainment. Loved Tom Cruise’s P-51 at the end. $12 senior couple and $27 pop and corn, medium sizes!

Time to figure out the day. Later all.

Karl, good to see ya Lou!

Good morning from sunny West Virginia. Another warm day ahead of us.

        Thank you for opening, Louis.

Yesterday I managed to do some modeling and put together a list of stripwood to order. I did a few things arouond the house, including the installation of a shade in a skylight.

I made it to the club for a while last night. More benchwork.

        Have a good one.

        Mike

Good morning, Lou and crew. Always pick a younger doctor, so they don't retire on you. I've had that happen with my dentist and dermatologist and their replacements are the same age as my oldest grandchild.

Tidewater Virginia is going to hit 80° today. Other than one week, June has been a cool month for us. We're going for a walk soon and after some chores, I plan to get more bench time in. I also need to get on Ebay and find some LED's to light my caboose.

          Have a good day.

            Mornin' All!

79, headed for 90 here in the northern mitten, and beginning to knit together the grey blanket up there, so who knows what's in store? Only The Shadow knows for sure, and he ain't talking....

As to Docs, George is right on that one! I'm now getting first-class dental care from a high school classmate of my Younger son, I've had cardio care from a college classmate of my Older son and his wife, both of whom knew him in college, the guy who replaced my hip in 2016 is three years younger than my younger son, and who knows about the guy who put the plate in my ankle in 2019? I was afraid to ask.... Yes, they're all Yutes, and no, they don't have the breadth and depth of experience of the folks my age (who are mostly retired), but they do have the new toys and know how to use them, which is a Bonus. Choose carefully!

Calendar is clear (What Happened?????) today, so it's bench time. Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Looks like James (jbvb) is busy with 1:1 track this morning, so I refilled the Silver Bullet with MOW Blend, and it just lit up "READY."

Well, that hot air from TC is coming ashore here with quite a nippy edge of a chill in it at the beach just NNE of our place. Long sleeve shirt time when a cloud passes. brrrish for sure

              Good day to all.

Sunny and hot in west Texas. Another 100 degree plus day.

I am over 70 and my Doctor is my age. I appreciate the fact he knows " how I feel " because he is right there with me and has a ton of experience. He stays up with times and is a pleasure to be around. We also see eye to eye on current medical/political events.

I have been blessed with good health....everything still works and nothing has been replaced. A touch of high blood pressure and hypothyroid, thats it. One pill a day for each.

Rinos have escaped their enclosure in Texas and have wreaked havoc in Washington. Some say their was an outbreak of "donkeypox" there. Where is Fauci when you need him?

More real work to do today indoors.

              Cheers.......John
