    Mornin' All!

78, above the high of 77 and severe clear here in the northern mitten today. Much better than yesterday, which was brutally hot and humid.

Bruce, that Holly disaster is a mess, but the TV helicopter video showed an apparently unoccupied excavator in the back of the place, smoke and a small flame coming from the rubble, and no evidence of any fire apparatus anywhere. That is a prescription for a rekindle, which is Very Not Good. As Yogi Berra once observed, "It ain't over 'til it's Over." Best wishes to all concerned...

Today begins Day Three of trying to re-mount my mail box, so I suppose I should get on it before it gets warmer.... Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Good morning from beautiful sunny West Virginia, where it's 77F and the forecast is for 90F. The back lawn could use a mow but it will be there tomorrow.

Yesterday was one of a little of this and a little of that. I worked on my Ozark barn model, installing boards for the roof. Managed an hour of music practice; I need to be ready for a workshop in a month.

Today will be more of the same. I have a shade for a skylight to install and might get started on that. I plan to shingle the roof on my barn. I went through my stripwood inventory for some sizes and therefore need to get an order together. Sounds like a good project for hot weather.

    Have a good one.

    Mike

Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. It got up to 93 degrees yesterday. I'm glad that I got the yard work done in the morning. The high temp today will be in the upper 80's.

Yes, the historic Holly Hotel and an antique shop next door burned yesterday. Over 20 towns sent fire equipment to the site to make sure the entire Main Street didn't go with them. We have eaten in the Hotel on several occasions, and I remember reading that it burned once or twice before. Perhaps it will rise from the ashes once again.

Some errands to run today. No yard work as tomorrow we will be in the upper 70's which will make yard work more appealing.

    Have a great day!

Good morning Jim, Karl, Martin, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Jim as usual. where is everyone? Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

Back to 63 degree weather, with cloudy skies here in Rhode Island at the moment. Not going to get much better with possible rain showers.
They say summer is here now, I don't see it yet! when good weather does get here, they are warm to hot and humid, with an average of eight to ten days that cross 90 degrees. We stay around 70's and 80's.

Not sure again what today will bring yet. I'll have to play it by ear and try to get motivated again I guess. Lost the Mojo.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

More coffee and more pancakes, but until the sugar rush hits, I'm moving slow.....

Maybe I'll run an errand or 2 today, but maybe I'll put that off a day; maybe I'm getting indecisive, but then I'm not sure....

Def putting off some NMRA work that's work, and I'm not in favor of work right now. Got a walnut frame that I might trot out to the garage to clean up if only to get it out of my shop before I break it.

    So it goes....

Sun and 64 with forecast of 70s today. The big pond hasn’t warmed up so with the strong offshore breeze we were in long sleeves all bay while it was in the upper 80s inland a short distance. Near record heat back home.

Got the mower running and ran it around scaring up the ticks. Miserable little brats.

I must report that Bob’s bluegills exceeded Martin’s expectations. Sure have missed them.

Quite a big fire over Bruce’s way. Some spectacular videos on a couple “news” outlets. Forever change the face of the town.

    Today’s adventure await…

    Later all.

    Wednesday morning lounge

Good morning all from muggy and buggy N.E. Indiana where it is 79f->155f, or something hot according to the WW last night. I can attest to the buggy as I had a wasp nail me right on my kneecap, yesterday. The coffee urn is READY with Hotbox blend. The special is a breakfast burrito with chorizo. The oatmeal pot is the alternative, notice the 'raisins' are not moving this morning. All other beverages, including some 'cool ones' after the work shift.

Yesterday I was chopping up branches from last weeks derecho and must have disturbed some wasp nest, and that was the end of that activity. So, I was forced back in, to do some drawing. Of course the 'internet' was intermittent at best. A too early nap, screwed me up for sleep last night. I'm heading over to the rehab center, and will probably fall asleep on the monkey bars.

Have a Super day! Stay cool, hydrate!

    Jim
