  • Monday morning lounge

Good morning crew, readers, and lurkers, from 65f and partly Sunny N.E. Iindiana. The coffee urn is READY with Fireman blend. The special is Corned beef hash and eggs anyway you want them. White, Rye, or raisin toast. The oatmeal pot is in good shape according to Mike. Smoothie machine is good shape according to TomO. Other drinks at the end of the line.

A productive day at the health club, still chopping up branches and keeping the burn barrel in full use. More of the same today.

I did get some reading and experimenting with JMRI last evening, and getting the hang of it.

    Costco later.

    Have a Super day!!

Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. It is in the mid-60's and drizzling here in S.E. Michigan. The rain is supposed to stop soon and we will hit the mid-80's later today.

Some errands to run this morning and then we will see what unfolds.

    Have a great day!

3rd cup of coffee and I'm moving now.........everything bagel.......complete with a speck of mold just for that added flavor.....

Painting later today after it warms up a lot - below 50 here in No. VA this morning - crisp and clear!

Getting a few cars worked on in the shop - 3 basic flats to build up on out on the 1st sheet of glass; another MoW car on the 2nd sheet of glass . 3 metal hoppers of unknown origins starting to get restored on the opposite work space. Lots of bad solder joints and missing parts to replace...

Rest of the day is reading and listening to the wrens out on the deck.

      So it goes....

Good morning Jim, Bruce, Martin, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Jim. Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.
Back to 65 degree weather, with sunny skies here in Rhode Island at the moment. Not going to get much warmer though they say.
They say summer is here tomorrow, I don't see it!

Not sure what today will bring yet. I'll have to play it by ear. Try to get motivated again I guess.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. Those of you that have the new Holiday, enjoy your day off I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Good morning from 60F and cloudy West Virginia. Thanks for the coffee and the fresh pot of oatmeal, Jim.

I'm taking advantage of the cool weather and mowing the lawn. I did the front yesterday and hope to do the back later today.

This afternoon will be devoted to working at the club. Then a finance meeting for church.

        Have a good one.

        Mike

Good morning from the start of another great day in So. Central Wisconsin. 75 now, beautiful clear blue skies, a good breeze leading us to 93f degrees. I did test negative yesterday with another test within the hour. The granddaughter will come over for the day if I am still negative. She wants to ride with grandma and swim later with both of us.

          Thanks for opening Jim.

My south deck looks like the Morning Doves decided to use it as a landing pad and bathroom break area overnight. It’s a mess. I will type this up and get the hose out.

          Enjoy your day

Good morning, all. The NH seacoast was in the 50s overnight, but today's sun should bring 70s by this afternoon. 90% of our driving this year has been in the 2017 Chevy Bolt I paid $19K for in 2019. The new battery we got in the recall had 94 miles left after a 217 mile round trip to the White Mountains last week.

Today's only railroading will involve my models, so once the bill paying and lawyer visit are done, you'll find me in the attic.

Mornin' All! 71, grey and headed for 90 here in the northern mitten. Spectacular light show around 2330 last night, courtesy of Mother Nature, who split the performance to go east and west of me. I'm fine with that! Some of those sky-to-ground displays looked really dangerous, and the house shook even though the strike was several miles away.

Went out yesterday to visit a friend who is building an HO McKeen rail car. Got to the end of the driveway and found my mailbox on the ground near the water in the drainage ditch. Guess what today's festivities will involve instead of making progress on the railroad! Yuck....

And given the forecast, I should get this fiasco underway. Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Good morning, crew and thanks for the coffee, Jim. It's a beautiful day in Tidewater Virginia. The sun's out and we're staying in the 70's. It's nice to have the house open, but it's also good weather to cut the grass.

We spent the weekend at our son's lake house. My oldest son couldn't make it since his wife has tested positive and he doesn't want to take a chance of exposing the old folks to Covid.

After grass cutting and other chores, I plan to sit down at the workbench. I'm working on a laser cut caboose kit.

              Have a good day.

                Headed North…

It’s been an ok drive so far but lots of ugly s—- between us, just N of the blue dot, and Northern Command, near the 55 NE, lots of folks taking advantage of the latest manufactured “holiday” to delay going home.

Fathers Day was nice heard from everyone and visit from daughter and sil. No yard work no bench time.

Poor signal, phone call interruptions, Post and heading on

                later everyone

Jim.......anytime I use JMRI it seems to be an experiment. They say a man does best what he does everyday. Seems I have to re-learn JMRI every time I use it.

I mentioned yesterday the price of eggs. You are blessed to get free eggs and chickens my friends. Eggs are $3.69 a dozen at my local store. Hard to let chickens free range here as the hawks will snatch them up quick. Neighbor lost three in one day.
Price of eggs kinda goes along with TomO s post on gasoline.

Work should wrap up in a week and I hope to be able to get back to my RR projects. I have about 6 irons in the fire at last count.

                  Everyone have a great day.........John
