  • Excellent job on the tool car, Larry.

I can picture the barrels of junk being lifted out by the hoist. Nice touch.

    • Larry thank you and thanks for stopping by.

Mike thanks. I figured the barrels gave a purpose for the hoist.

      • Now that the forum is back up I thought I would post an update. After a summer of modeling, in between outside
projects, I'm going to call the Tractor Repair Shed mostly done. I may add a few more details later on when the mood
        strikes me:

The LP's are from Rusty Rail and finished off pretty well. The quality of the figures are decent and the price is reasonable. After
painting each figure they were glued to a small thin piece of card stock then glued to the diorama. Then they were "dirted in" to blend
them into the rest of the scenery.

This figure had a posable arm which had a small piece of small brass rod to connect the arm to the body. After painting the
figure was glued to the diorama in the same fashion as the others. Also you can see the hoses for the welding tanks which is
draped over the tanks. Lastly I colored a wooden box with brown chalks and finished off a few tools to set in the box then glued
it to the Crawler tread; you can't work without tools after all.

Like I mentioned previously this is pretty well done. I would like to thank all you guys for your comments and inspiration who
followed along on this build; it's very much appreciated.

What's next? Now that the outside projects are done for this year it's time to return to the CC&W Railroad layout to finish up some
scenery and possibly "upgrade" some of the buildings as well as maybe changing a few things around.

Larry, just walk away...lol. Projects like the tractor repair shed can keep pulling you back in.

Love the detail around the dozer and scene. Looking forward to your layout work.

            • Jerry thank you. It did help fill the modeling gap when I only had limited time at the bench.

Rick thank you. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to the layout soon.

                    • Rich thank you so much and I appreciate you stopping by. This going
to pretty much finish the diorama so now it's back to the CC&W RR.

                      • Adding detail does keep changing the character of a scene. Can be as much work as building the rest of it all. It’s an area I’ve really neglected.
