Had not given that aspect any thought - gotten to the point that I just use PSC and Wiseman parts routinely for building cars now. Bit of an investment spread across a lot of cars, but I think worth it if only in appearance.

In a time like ours seemings and portents signify. Ours is a generation when dogs howl and the skin crawls on the skull with its beast's foreboding.

Thanks, guys! For some strange reason I had a wee bit of trouble running my truss rods on this car and had to drill out and restrung one completely. So when I took the photos, the silk was not up on the queenposts. I was building 3 of these in parallel, but all good now,

Here's the tank - old Lobaugh tank that I've added dome and valves to along with the railing all around. Now it and the flat are off to the paint shop before we move on to a marriage of convenience,

Hardest part on this car so far was finding a can of that color paint at a price that did not include a pint of blood to be donated!

Got at least 3 more tank cars to get to in the queue, but they will have to wait a bit so I can clear other projects out.

Nicely done, Martin. Shouldn't there be a ladder up to the dome?

Apparently not per the drawings that I had for this car. Had them ready to go but then didn't install them.
