    Evening, All!

Fifty something, going to who-knows-what, and very, very damp, with rain and fog here in the northern mitten. This is preparatory to a Major Winter Event coming at us shortly, as I spent a good chunk of the day at the dealer's having the snow tires removed and the car given a general look-over that caused replacement of a couple of filters. Given the number of acorns under the glovebox, I know where the squirrels have been hiding.... <sigh>

This, as Karl has mentioned, is the 78th anniversary of D-Day. Please pause a moment to thank the Greatest Generation.

    Stay safe.

Karl, Thanks for reminding us. Wonder what the snowflakes of today would do.

Good morning Guys, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge as usual Jim. It is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

69 degrees and sunny here in Rhode Island today.

It is a lawn mowing day today for me, so that's the first thing to do.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. It is 63 and heading into the mid-70's today. Some sun now, but rain moves back in around 4 p.m.

Yesterday it reached a high temp of 66 out under cloudy skies. The temps in the house dropped into the 60's and we actually kicked on the head for a while to 'get the chill out of the house'. Folks talk about 'becoming our parents' in our behavior. We have now become our grandparents apparently.

Some weeding this morning and then some modeling this afternoon.

    Have a great day!

Good morning from sunny West Virginia. It's a beautiful day with temperatures expected in the low eighties.

Thank for opening, Jim. I'll have the oats with my coffee.

We will probably get out on the rail trail early today. Then, who knows? Yesterday's work session at the club went well. I had to leave early so I might drop by today to see what progress was made and maybe do a little work on my own.

    Have a nice day!

    Mike

Spent what was a perfect weather weekend at the house in PA with SWMBO'd.......getting everything in order to finalize the last (I hope!) bit of reno work. The what goes where and stamps of approval on trim for transitions and walls, etc....... Mower developed a problem.......but it got the needed parts done. Not sure what it's issue is but it's off to the shop now. Some plumbing issues remain........hate plumbing .........basement area was dry!!!! But it's coming into the home stretch!

Got to spend the rest of the morning on the galley corrections - due today. Model projects maybe in the afternoon. But I think I need a 3rd cup of coffee and more to jump on that now.

    So it goes....

Good morning Jim, George and incoming Crew. Reporting in from wet but could have been much worst So. Central Wisconsin. The really heavy and nasty storms totally missed our house and per the radar I watched yesterday, I have no idea how. We did get rain but had a few hours were nothing was received. I could hear the tremendous crackles of lightning and the roaring thunder but no rain in the afternoon, nothing. Today, per the weather app it should be a fairly strong rain till noon and spotty then till 6 then T-Storms moving in. The app does indicate it’s raining here right now, but the eye ball test and walking onto the deck says, nope, not yet here!

I played in the train room on and off yesterday. Didn’t accomplish much of what the plan was but had a good time anyway. Will again see time today in there!

We will head to UW campus for a 4pm hockey game and another at 8. The under 18 Women’s World Championship starts today and since we are stuck in Wisconsin we are going. Between games IMO the best hamburger in the State will be consumed at Dotty Dumpling’s Dowry. Technically it’s off campus but by a few feet only. It has a City address even though it’s on the Campus which is separate from the City of Madison. Technicalities making the world go round.

    be safe

Good morning, Jim and crew from sunny Tidewater, Virginia. Our temps are going to be in the upper 70's, close to perfect.

I need to run to my local hardware store for some aluminum stock to finish my cassettes. I changed the design of the rerailers on the cassettes, so I've been cutting a lot of styrene on my Cricut. I'm looking forward to wrapping this up.

    Have a good day.

started a topic Monday morning lounge

    Monday morning lounge

Good morning crew, readers, and lurkers, from 61f->80f rain on the way, N.E.Indiana. The coffee urn is READY with Roundhouse blend. The special Buckwheat pancakes, Smokie links, Grandma Sweeter's grits, and scrambled eggs. The oatmeal bucket has a fresh batch in it, other bevs at the end of the line.

I finished the layout redraw with Anyrail 6 last night. Now at least we have something drawn to scale, it had turnouts that one couldn't tell if it were a left or right from the sketch. Labeling and adding signaling etc., probably later today when 'indoor recess' begins.

    Have a Super day!

    Jim
