    It’s sunny and warming from near 50, passing mid 60s going to 75. Did the mowing Wednesday and dropped the deck off and put the bucket on and moved some rocks around. Fiddled around out in the shop/barn with the welder until I got cold. Some decent videos on u-toob on welding that I looked at to refresh my thought process…the rest is like Carnegie Hall….practice, practice, practice…

    Headed out in a bit to have the car services, the Doll spent 2 hours cleaning it out. Heaven help us if some grease monkey at the dealership saw any dirt…

    The oats are about ready, steel cut slow brew, check back later.

    I started a new structure, a flat based on this photo from the Library of Congress:

    Only my structure is clapboard, rather than brick. This will go agains the backdrops, the idea is the property values drop as you get further from the center of town :-)

    Walls are NESL clapboard, porch is styrene. WIndows/doors are Tichy. I need to finish the porch roof, then I can prime and paint the porch.

    Good morning Guys, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge as usual Jim. It is the best way to start off the day.

    Looks like it's a bit cooler at your place Jim. 60 degrees and cloudy here in Rhode Island today. The temps are crazy and rain to return.

    Not sure what my next project will be, but I am tossing around ideas. I'm on a roll I guess with wanting more projects.

    Good morning. It's a relatively cool, sunny day in WV. Time for some outdoor tasks and a walk, of course.

    I ballasted track on my T-trak module yesterday and started thinking about what structures will go on it. Maybe I'll start a new topic since I haven't posted any new work for a while.

    Really nice cooler morning with a bit of air moving after yesterday's late rains.

    Got home office stuff to do, but I'm heading to the deck shortly with a book and my coffee (post bacon loaded bagel, ), and listen to the wrens.

    Shop projects can wait a while.....

    So it goes...

    Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. The sun is shining and the lawn is calling here in S.E. Michigan. Our high temp should be in the mid-70's.

    The farmer's hay field behind us is looking great. It would not surprise me to see him making his first cut sometime in the next week.

    Many thanks to Jim, Karl and James for some information on the Herkimer Tool Co. That extruded aluminum body on the passenger car kit looks great. Too modern for me, so to the resale table at some point in time.

    Some modeling time is planned after the yard work.

    Friday morning lounge

    Good morning all from 52f and Sunny N.E. Indiana. The coffee urn has flashed the READY signal with Smokebox blend. The special is ham and eggs, toast. and grits. One of Dave's leftover (who would believe it ) doughnuts is at the end of the line with the oatmeal vat , and the other beverages.

    Yesterday was indeed interesting, after more than an hour of phone time, the package will be delivered on Monday. What a fiasco! Today, I'll complete the JD reassembly, clean up the shop, and put the bevy of tools back in place.

    I sent a copy of the redrawn layout to my buddy so he can assign names to the automated turnouts, as part of the JMRI installation. Note to self.....plan ahead!
