Good morning crew, readers, and lurkers, from 44f and partly Sunny N.E. Indiana. The coffee urn is READY with Superheater blend. The special is a French toast and Canadian bacon, or the oatmeal pot has a fresh load. All other beverages at the end of the line.
I got about 30 minutes of mowing in yesterday, keeping it slow. Still taking it easy. At least that's the excuse I'm using.
Today, I'm heading to another guys layout, and working on a few JMRI puzzles. We went to a 'signaling' clinic at the Tri-Regional, and am going to try some of the new tricks learned. A double crossover is logically considered to be one turnout. Somehow that doesn't seem right, until you consider that the train is either going straight or diverging through the crossover. Once you get your head wrapped around that, it makes sense, and behaves as a single turnout. I guess it's easy to over complicate track conditions.
What is the best paint remover for the coating put on Korean brass engines? This stuff acts like an epoxy paint. Acetone bath overnight hasn't touched it. The closer I looked at the GP38, I see the shortcuts they took to get their product in the box. The rear screens are pretty chintzy (actually etched into the sides) and I'll have to either locate some or make some to fix that.
I'm rambling!
Have a Super day!
