We will never let Jim forget about yesterday, miss you buddy! Enjoy Indianapolis

    Welcome really to Saturday morning.

The coffee pot has Switch tenders hot hot blend on this 59f degree morning in So. Central Wisconsin. All the hot beverages are available including because it’s Saturday, a nice Toddy. For, ham, and eggs your way, a waffle with real Wisconsin Maple syrup and some Nuezkes smoked bacon from Wittenberg, Wi. There are some berries. Diet Dr Pepper and others are available.

I have the granddaughter this morning. Even though the grandson is in California with his mom and grandmom Dad still has to coach soccer this weekend. Harper and I will play in the pool.

I can nap later today during the golf as I know she is going to wear me out. But I will enjoy it.

    Have a great day

    Meanwhile:

Meanwhile back in the present…Jim’s breakfast is back in line with the stars. What a difference a sweep of the hand of the big dial on the wall can make. Yesterday we bounced off the 84-5 range on the thermo-gage and this Morning the temp is still slipping thru the 58o and it’s grey and raining after the big cold front slipped thru our state. The instability triggered a disastrous tornado in the city of Gaylord, quite a way up the middle of our mitten. Staggering photos of damage on area media outlets, 1k and dozens injured.

I worked on the yard much of the day while the Doll and her cousin attended to the decoration/ of numerous family graves in Grand Ledge and nearby Kalamo (no spell check…NOT K’zoo). I never made it to the bench or out to the shop except for equipment. Requested photos of the plasma unit are still pending.

Not sure of today, the Doll’s middle daughter and family are coming over this afternoon.

The Doll’s been in a state of near panic over jury duty notice she has, call to the # yesterday gave her a reprieve for the next week….PHEW……

Time to get rolling. Everyone have a fine day.

Good morning Ton, Karl, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge as usual Tom. It is the best way to start off the day.

      Another breakfast without Jim.

63 degrees and Fog here in Rhode Island today. Rained last night heavy at times.

Modeling on the critter is still ongoing, just nothing new to post yet. Making some changes.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

We're on the other side of Karl's "thermal gradient." It was 52 this morning, damp and chilly. Headed to 83 today and 89 tomorrow. (ugh!)

I've been pondering the backdrops for my visible staging, I might install them today (raised up a bit, see https://railroad-line.com/node/37831/page55#post994844 ).

          Mornin' All!

58, headed for 58 (who knew???) and mostly bright and sunshiny here in the northern mitten. Lots of Damage control underway after the tornado in Gaylord yesterday, about fifty miles or so east of here. Local township here sent a fire engine and crew over on a multiple-county Mutual Aid request; fortunately they were cleared and sent home last night. The storm went over the top here, with lightning to the south, southwest, west, northwest and north... quite a show, and fortunately nothing close aboard....

Today is Armed Forces Day in the US, so please take a moment to remember those who served our nation and especially those who paid the ultimate price for their efforts.

Errands time.... Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Good morning Tom and the rest of the crew. We have just had an hour or so of black skies, lightening, thunder and heavy rain. Temps have fallen to near 60.

Dave, I checked out the backdrop re-position, and I, too like the raised option better.

I hope that Jim is enjoying the Tri-Region Convention.

Now that the line of storms has moved through, I think that I will make a quick run to the Post Office.

            Have a great day!

Morning all....It is going to be 72 degrees for a HIGH here today. This after temps in excess of 105 last Tuesday and Wednesday. Cool temps equals yard work this afternoon.
We have not had any rain to speak of in my neck of the woods in almost 3 months now. Only a couple of 30-40 minute showers in the last month. Just enough to keep weeds going.Burn ban in effect.

My Broadway Limited UP, 4-12-2 loco is "out for delivery" today. It is a birthday present to myself. Looking forward to a new toy. Gotta get busy back on the layout.

I have been pretty busy with my drafting work this year. I am semi retired but an old customer of mine tries to keep me busy full time. After the next project, I am going to tell him I need 2 months off, at least. The layout and several other "irons in the fire" are sitting idle and I am ready to finish those projects. Kind of a mixed bag, at age 74 I am still able to do my work and with the present state of the economy, the extra money comes in handy but I'm ready to do what I want to do also.

Karl.....In reference to jury duty. While I believe we should all do our civic duty it never comes at a convenient time. I knew a person who was called quite often for jury duty. He said he was always excused because when the attorneys ask him did he already have an opinion on the accused being guilty or innocent, his answer was " The accused must be guilty or the police would not have arrested them". He was then excused. I'm not saying this is good civic behavior but if someone was so inclined to shirk jury duty, I guess this might be an option.
I am not saying this persons action were good or bad, just passing along one persons approach to jury duty. This story does not reflect any of my personal views on jury duty, just a story.

              Everyone have a great day..........John

Sort of had that feeling, and would be honest to give that statement. Doll was excused for the week when she called in. Chatted earlier with my cuzzin in Fla told me she been on a rape trial jury and was a lasting effect on her.
