Good morning all, from 61f-85f N.E. Indiana. The coffee urn has signaled READY with Yard Speed blend. The special is Luftwaffles and smoked sausage, scrambled on the side. Oatmeal and other beverages on the side.

The Yard Speed blend is one that came off the shelf as the weather gets hotter, those of us that still actually get out into the yard, mowing, pulling weeds, etc. might consider slowing down a bit. We ain't getting younger! [/sermon]

Of course yesterday I spent about 6 hours in the yard, raking up small branches, scraping over the areas that grass was snaggly, replanting grass seed, dragging about 100' feet of hose over to the repaired area. Yep, today is R&R.

Does anyone remember the 1/4" silver tape that you would apply to audio recording tape to signal the recorder, "end of tape", "reverse", and other functions? I haven't seen it in years, but sure would like to find some it. It would be very handy to use as a reflector for infrared detection circuits. Keep looking!

Well, I'll find some tangent to leap on here shortly, can't waste an R&R day.

    Have a Super day!

    Take the red pill

Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. It is 62 heading to 87 under sunny skies here in S.E. Michigan.

Jim, I'm taking your advice and taking the day off from yard work.

A run to the grocery store and feed store and then some modeling.

    Have a great day!

Sun in the middle of the mitten going to 85. Like Jim the outdoors was quite attractive yesterday and welcome was overstayed. The “fuzzy” sun faded to overcast and while 85 it was breezy and comfortable. Leading to more work than planned, cut down and hauled away all the decorative grasses that were too close to the house to burn off. That was going to be it but decided to mow. Then as I’d dropped the mower 1/4” the cuttings looked like crap so I the used the sweeper to clear it up. A bit of muscle tension this am.

Headed out to an estate sale this morning that might send a machinist like Bernd or Jim into a spell. Hundreds of tools, lathe, drill press, grinders, bandsaws, even had a dozen cans of WD-40. What a stash. The guy must be a contender for the whoever dies with the most tools wins contest. Well advertised so who knows what will be left by time we get there.

Well time to get headed into the day. Adventures await.

      Be well.

I do Jim, and it looks like this company carries it...

Road trip through Vermont today, lunch with my college freshman roommate and then a stop to see another guy from that same group (2 doors down.)

Foggy this morning, but sunny now. Supposed to get into the 80s in NH and VT.

          Coffee and more coffee, yes!

Was supposed to be another nice day today but maybe a bit on the gloomy side - just need it to get decent enough to gloss a pair of tank cars. Projects in shop are moving along in little spurts of activity.

No outdoor activities - garden or yard work planned. Was splitting the last of the logs from last fall yesterday and the wedge popped back at me and nailed the knuckle of one finger. Going to take a few days for that to recover. And, there still another session or 2 of splitting to clear that space.

Got to make a run to the PO and library need some garden dirt and sand to re-org some of the cactus; getting way to big for me to carry up/down each year. Should just give a lot of them away this year.

Good morning Crew. Thanks Jim for opening and the sermon. Preaching to this choir member on that one. High 90’s today, the humidity is already at 84% and I could use a fan out here on the deck this morning.

Had the TV on last night with NHL and NBA playoff games on in the background as I starting making 4-5” twisted wire tree armatures. More of that in the A/C of the cave today.

            Have a great safe day

Good morning guys and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge for our daily chat and cup of brew.

56 degrees and sunny, but very windy here in Rhode Island today.

Not much to report on, and not sure what the day will bring yet. Still collecting parts for a critter build that's up-coming.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Good morning from sunny northern WV. It's 47F now but we are expecting eighties later. When out on the rail trail I remind myself that the hot weather motivates the iris to bloom; a couple buds are showing color.

I'm going to do some outdoor work during the cool parts of the day, a small NMRA task, and pay a bill or two, and who knows what else.

                Have a great day!

Good afternoon, Jim and crew. I made a fresh pot of coffee for the late visitors. It's Ashpit Blend. We're in the low 60's and don't need a warm weather blend.

I've been involved in family activities this morning. Our son and family passed through on their way to a wedding at the outer Banks of NC. We're watching their puppy for the weekend.

I made some adjustments to the cassettes on my switching layout yesterday and have more to do today.

                  Have a good day.
