Miserable day yesterday - drove up to the house in PA in the rain, tough drive, to drop off all sorts of stuff and take measurements of kitchen counter parts and window stuff; sink and counter were installed but not hooked up to the plumbing yet. Missed catching up with my Amish carpenter, but left him a note and he called me last night. Problems installing the sink in the butcher block counter, but he's got a plan. Son planted the sage and yucca plants, and we loaded up the leftover flooring - can return that, I hope. Brought back a 6' oak 2x4 to cut and mortise into a trim support bean under the butcher block counter. Should be an interesting exercise. Probably kill a saw blade doing it,

Stopped at the Mennonite grocery on return and picked up a blueberry pie. That'll be good later today!

But it's still raining so painting and outdoor stuff still on hold...

Good morning, Jim. Thanks for opening. Good to hear you are getting things done. We will indeed be keeping Tom in mind with hopes for the best.

Yesterday was pretty much taken up completely by a wedding. Today it will be in the fifties and sixties and sunny, so a good one to get outside. Other than a few garden projects, there will be a lot of sitting around talking with our son and daughter.

Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. It was 37 degrees this morning but the sun shining and we should reach the mid-60's later today.

I need to make a quick run to the local grocery store for a few lunch items. Our son will stop by for Mothers' Day and we are low in some essential vittles.

Besides yard work, I'm still trying to get some time in at the modeling bench. Been working so far.

Sun with a slight hint of frost in the shadows earlier, going to soar to 60-70 this afternoon. Had the Doll’s daughter over yesterday, going to the other girl’s today. My son and his wife may be stopping this morning late. Easing into this ideal day. Exchanged chats with other son off and on all day yesterday.

I even spent an hour or so at the bench yesterday, 45 minutes looking for my Kaptan tape, kicked up into the debris field under the desk, and 20 minutes starting reassembly of the GP30 after the gear replacement.

Looking outside this morning I see that Mullet, the neighbor is far ahead of me on the lawn care…


Easing into this nice weather. Everyone enjoy the Mom’s…but watch out for Elvira, Jim’s going to need 2 red pills after the road trip.

60, headed to 68 and ... behold... Sunny!!!... here in the northern mitten. This makes several days in a row of actually having the white orb up there! Happy Mothers' Day to all of the mothers out there, and to those who raised us. And on this day we should also celebrate the anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945. Peace is a Good Concept and it would be nice if we had more of it in the world.

Best wishes to Jim and TomO and Walt and those whom I may have missed....

We laid my best local friend to eternal rest yesterday afternoon, so that put the stamp on yesterday for me. Today is a good day to cogitate and then move on to try and make some progress on the Railroad. Make it a Great Day, All, and stay safe.

Good morning Crew from the gloomy but warm So. Central weather confused Wisconsin. It is supposed to be partly sunny but someone forgot to tell Mother Nature. Our little liberal section of Wisconsin has been pretty active since the Supremo Court leak. Enough that Terry even skipped the Farmers Market around the Capital building yesterday. Demonstrators the last few years around the Capital have gotten violent so we avoid the area. I did go with her yesterday as we stopped at 2 other Farmers Markets. Lots of plants and flowers, honey and baked goods. Her $5.00 purchased bag of Spinach actually was mixed greens. She misses her greenhouses

Jim, the surgery went well, trying to get released was a joke. Today I feel damn good but still a bit frail especially walking. The exercise strength bands are getting a good work out. No walking on the treadmill but going up and down the driveway alone is ok. The 8 year old grandson loves roller blading around me on the driveway. Todays adventure is a walk through the woods with Terry. The trail is crushed gravel and pretty level so it’s time to try it.

Trains, some time running yesterday. I am avoiding the bench and no plans for it today either.

Brunch is out as the daughter and family have asked Terry to come along for Mom’s day. I’ll find something to eat that fits the low carb diet. While it’s nice to honor the mom’s these Hallmark made days are…

Morning Jim an crew. Coming from a sunny and 58 degrees Thousand Islands via cell phone hot spot. No internet yet connected to the camp. Waiting to see what Verizon will do.

Put together a Sauder's computer hutch yesterday and finished up today. No hobby bench up here yet, but have an idea of building one that's portable for doing small stuff modeling. It does rain here and I will need to do something while that happens.

Good morning, all. The NH seacoast is sunny and mid-50s. A tub full of turkey chicks just moved into my turkey house, though they'll probably need a heat lamp for a week or ten days. My wife is off at a Buddhist temple in Lowell selling her cloth crafts, her son is ?baking? (pressure cooking) Boston Steamed Brown Bread and I have some tractor implements to rearrange.

Today is the day spent doing what the Mrs. wants to do. Her day, so her choice.
