Needs someone to belch, pass gas and spill something….it’s too clean…it’ll work out well, Rick. Maybe a Snap-On calendar or Bettie Paige pinup..

48 and cool here this morning. Just back from town. Took the trash in to the dump station. Not much going on there. Stopped at Tractor Supply, picked up a bag of fertilizer, a measure tape and a putty knife. What little sun we had is hiding now. Feels like 35.

    Later from the shore.

        Sniff sniff sniff.

Hey! Still has that new paint smell !

Last I was here, I was working on my Junk Yard Dog critter.

Then we were all run over by the C word....that's right ....Covid.

We had a few guys quit for one reason or another and for the last year and a half I have been working Long Haul trucker hours.

Well not quite that bad....55 -60 hrs a week.... but close enough for me.

It felt like I would go to work, come home and have about an hour or two and then had to turn in so I could it all over again.

Hardly anytime to do anything I needed to do let alone the things I enjoy doing.

I decided Id had enough and changed that.

I just started my last week of vacation....... Come May 1st..... I'm officially a retired truck driver!!!

If you will let me, Id like to hang out around here a lot more often.

Thanks for the Kegerator Rich......Don't mind if I do.

Dave welcome and feel free to stop in anytime. Sounds like you had a rough year and a half; don't blame you for retiring. Now it's time to enjoy life a little.

        Howdy folks,

Rick, thanks for the beer. Good luck with the offers!

Dave, congratulations on your retirement. Woohoo!

Karl, sounds like you have your work cut out for you.

Thanks for the warning Larry. I'll run to the surplus store and pickup a gas mask...

Jerry, congrats on the clean bill of health for the house. Termites and especially vicious here in GA I hear.

Tom, tearing down a layout is an emotionally tough event. Good luck with your decision.

Worked in garage all day. Have two big boxes left to unpack. Problem is finding a place to put everything. Still have the other half of the garage to do, too. It is all Sharon's holiday decorations.

Need to get going upstairs, too. I just received notice my new laser shipped and I need a place to set it up. 84F here today. Need to get to recycle before they close. My SUV is full of boxes and paper.

        Have fun,

Hang up the holiday decorations and declare that “Every day is CHRISTMAS” and enjoy it. You can build a holiday layout…same temp here….oh, sorry, dyslexia, it’s 48.

        Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a selection of chilled soft drinks are ready to enjoy.

A chance of showers before 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2pm and 5pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Patchy fog before noon. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 71.

Mike, congrats on the new laser.

Dave, it's great having you back and of course you're very welcome to check in with us daily.
Congrats on the retirement and I'll be joining you in July.

Larry, fortunately the air has dissipated since your contribution to the lounge.

Karl, I like your calendar idea.

Tom, Jerry, Ron, Philip, Louis and everyone else, how are you doing?

Might have good news about the house later.
        No plans today again.
Doesn't look like a good outdoor day.

A couple of pictures from yesterdays walk with the dog.

          Good morning Rick and thanks!
          I'll trade you.
High of 40° here today with a chance of rain or snow showers most
          of the day.
I saw last night that the normal rainfall for April here is 4.1 inches, So far
          we have had 8.4!

          Enough already!

Holy cow, this grey, cold crap just rolls along…after the brief sniff Sunday of sun we’re right back in the monochromatic malais of the de ja Vu 39. It’s 31 with sno-flurries here on the edge of the big puddle.

Stopped for a hot dog at a UP food stand in town yesterday. $3 for a dog, pop and chips.

Great little detail for a street scene on the layout, Put a fork in it!
A few things to,get done today then pack up for taking command on the road and returning to the Land of Trolls, below the bridge.

I’ve thought more about my flip remark to Mike, you know for most of us, everyday is Christmas with the gift of life in this place, our friends and families and ability to form friendships and practice this sub branch of our fine hobby. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Everybody.

            Great day all,

              Merry Christmas folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee. Fingers crossed for good house news. Walk photos were excellent. Beautiful there.

Karl, safe travels back to Oz. Great idea about the seasonal decorations.

Dave, I'm curious to know if you feel guilt for not working. I did for a while.

Happy Tuesday to the rest of the gang.

              Have fun,

Hi Mike, just a tiny bit and it didn't live long. LOL
They have been having problems for years hiring new employees who can pass a drug screen.
I gave them 34 years. That's enough for me.

Good morning from the forested rolling wet damp hills of my little world in Wisconsin.

Karl, safe travels back to the southern compound.

              Rick, great Springtime pictures.

The grandkids are on the bus, the 2 helpers are discussing who drives the truck to school today.

Terry called this morning, face timed the grandkids and then called me. It seems the son lost a bit of control at driving school yesterday and hit a wall with a side glance at 143mph. The school instructor apologized profusely last night as he was pushing the son. He is fine but did get shaken up. He was cleared to drive today. She says the son, daughter and niece have really gotten the idea on how to drive, the son in law she says still needs work. Today they will actually drive similar model cars that they drive at home.

They all had dinner with my brother and g/f last night. She is emotionally better and the physical pain of breast surgery is getting easier to tolerate. Terry and my sister will stay with the brother and G/F till Saturday to help out. They then will fly to Paradise to check on the progress of the build. Terry comes home 5/3.

May 5th at 7:40am officially is the surgery date delayed originally from the summer 2021 and again from 1/2022. I stop my thyroid replacement meds tomorrow. By Saturday I should be a zombie.

I spent 3 hours in the train room yesterday, finally. Minor stuff accomplished.

Mike, thanks. The emotions and feelings are all over the place regarding the layout. I am liking the idea of starting over but all on hold now that I have a surgery date.

Dave D. the only advice I have about retirement is enjoy it but schedule time for yourself.

              Be safe,

Rick thanks for the coffee. Glad the Lounge is back to normal.....darn beans. Keeping fingers crossed your house is sold!!!
Gorgeous trees in the park...gotta love Spring.

Dave that's a lot of rain.....better keep the canoe handy just in case.

Karl that's a good price for a "hotdog meal". We used to have a few dog stands around here but now only one remains, probably
because they make their own and their "coneys" are to die for. Oh ya....Merry Christmas!!

Mike loved your comment about the gas mask...made me laugh. Nice to hear your on the downhill side of unpacking, besides you
                have a railroad to build.

Tom good luck on your impending surgery....hopefully it will happen this time around. The time recovering will give you a chance
to plan the new layout if that's what you end up doing.

The rest of the Crew hope you're all good.

After 2 days in the mid 70's today it's only going to 55 and rain here in New York. Haircut this morning and the Lady makes a quick twenty bucks.
                Hopefully some bench time later.

Enjoy your day and be well!!!

Good morning Rick, Dave, Karl, Mike, Tom, Larry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Rick, thanks for the coffee and great pics of your walk. Hopefully you get a great offer on the house soon.

Went to the old lounge but found a padlock on it. Glad there were directions to the new lounge.

                  Dave, congratulations on your retirement.

Rick, Microphone works great, now I have to modify the video, apparently we now have a sponsor for the convention.

Tom, good luck with the upcoming surgery.

Not much happening here, still no modeling, but I have a feeling that that will change soon.

                  Have a great day everyone.

                    Morning everyone

Rick thanks for opening and the coffee.
Hope that's good news on the house!!

Dave welcome back glad to see you posting again.
Now that your retired we should see some of those shelf babies get finished!

Weather in South Jersey depressing another day of clouds/rain.
Nothing from the bench just to dam lazy I guess.

                    Mike good luck with laser.

Karl 3.00 not bad for a dog, soda & chips!

Larry, Ron, Philip, Louis & Tom enjoy the day!

                    Everyone have a wonderful day!!

ID:	992921After a total of 8 weeks in the hosp. I am finilly home. As you can see the only thing I have done is not shave. I will have to see how it goes. Mrs Hopeless is not happy. Left hand does not work very well and brain feels like there is a tornado spinning in my head.
