    Good morning folks,

Ron, thanks for coffee. Congrats on selecting a belt solution.

Larry, with the outdoor projects complete, anxious to see the tool car.

TomO, continued safe travels to you.

Jerry, sad to hear about your Sister-in-Law.

Karl, glad your trip to the north country was safe. Your dry humor cracks me up, e.g., coffee table book.

Rick, thanks for the bagels. Good morning to Star, too.

Louis, can't wait to see your next project.

What's up from the late joiners?

Started the day taking Sharon's car to the body shop. Had to wait for the rental car, but it is a nice one. I am scared to drive it, a $81,000 Range Rover. It is a nice ride though. Headed upstairs in the a bit. Sharon gone for doctors appointment, nails, and Costco shopping.

    Have fun,
    mike

Nice sunrise this morning. Sun and 50s, but clouds moving in with hint of rain.

About to venture out and about, Happy Rock an Eskie.

Interesting about starlink Rick. My ‘net here is not working. I’ve gone back to cell coverage/roaming.

Been thinking Rick, based on your typo you could make a whole album of a’hem “facilities” you encounter in your travels. We’ve seen and otherwise noticed quite a variety in our wandering about. I can imagine a fine 20x24 coffee table book to give one’s favorite mother in law for Christmas.

    Well, things to do.

Enjoy the day all $4.39 here about.

Tom, I wanted to go back to Rushmore to see it lit up, but found this nice place to stay for the night and didn't want to leave.

Larry, glad you've had some bench time.

Jerry, hope you are able to get some bench time today.

Did our first real in the woods boon docking last night.

Had to move the van a couple of times to get an internet connect but finally got one.
Starlink has been great so far and definitely worth the money.

As already mentioned I visited Mt. Rushmore yesterday.
Also visited the Black Hills Central RR.
I'll post pictures here on the forum in the next day or two.
There's one more road I'll like to drive here at CSP that we haven't done yet.
Then I'd like to start heading towards the Badlands.

    Have a great day everyone.

Good morning. At 3:35AM I told Terry I wanted to head home today instead of Wednesday. She thought I wanted something else!

So sometime this morning we will head out for the Mapquest route I80, I39, I90, of 2 hours 40 minutes. But since we will stop in Rochelle, Il. for a rest stop, a Culvers shake and possible visit to Railroad Park, it’s more like 4 hours home. I have had enough of strange beds and stranger noises. Not much sleep last night and I am tired.

Thanks Rick. I am one of those who initially was disappointed but walking the Presidential Trail changed my mind. I would like to visit Mt. Rushmore at least one more time.

    enjoy the day
    TomO

Good morning once again Ron, Larry, Rick, Jerry, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Ron. And with the coffee. We just have to get that Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

53 degrees, and raining here in Rhode Island today.

Finished and posted my latest project yesterday. We'll have to come up with something new.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

    Morning everyone
    Ron thanks for the coffee.

Thanks for the thoughts guys it's appreciated.

Raining still here in Jersey with a temp of 46.

    Your lucky Ron no rain!

Funny gas here is anywhere from $3.36 to 3.86 all within a mile or two of each other.

A couple of errands this morning and maybe some bench time later today.

    Everyone have a wonderful day!!

    Good morning everyone.

    Ron, thanks for the coffee.
Breakfast will be quick and easy with an assortment of bagels and muffins along with an assortment of schmears.

Weather in SD: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 63.

Ron, I couldn't get the SD office on the phone.
The plan is to drive to Fargo later this week and visit in person.
For your belts, take a look at brown electrical tape.

TomO, I had read that a lot of people weren't impressed with it, saying they thought it would be bigger.
    I didn't feel that way.
Seeing it from the main observation deck I thought it was impressive.
Walking the Presidential Trail and getting closer to it made it even more impressive.
Didn't need to spend a lot of time there. I think I was there about an hour.
But it was an hour well spent.

Jerry, so sorry for your los.
My condolences to Diane and you.

Karl, glad you had a safe trip and enjoy your time there.

Mike, I saw that you made it upstairs yesterday and worked on the spray booth.

Louis, congrats on yet another finished project.

The sun is coming up and the dog is bugging me to go out.
I'll come back later with today's plans.

    Morning Gents,

Ron thanks for the java and for opening. Not bad on the petrol prices; currently we're around $3.49....
sometimes cheaper depending where you go.

Rick I was wondering what "shitter clicking" was; wasn't sure if it was a SD thing. Enjoy.

Jerry so sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Hope the rest of the Crew are doing well.

A cloudy 45 with a high of 61 here in New York. Looks like the summer projects have finally
come to an end, besides organizing the inside of the garage, now it's just the usual fall stuff.
Have made it to the bench a little and the tool car is coming along nicely. Received some things
yesterday so maybe I can wrap the car up and post in a few days. Grocery shopping this morning
so that should lighten the wallet.

Enjoy your day no matter what your up to and be well!!

    Good morning everyone,

Coffee is on, so is the hot water for tea and there is an assortment of pop in the fridge.

Rick, hope the visit to the RR office went well.

Karl, glad the trip to northern command was uneventful.

TomO, regular gas here is $3.17/gallon, so not complaining here.

Jerry, sorry to hear about your sister-in-law, my condolences to you and your family.

Another cool morning here in Richmond VA, current temp is 49F and it's not supposed to get much warmer than that. Not much happening on the modeling front but I did spend some time experimenting with colouring the vellum for the machine belts, I think I have a solution.

    Have a great day everyone.

Jerry, so sorry about your sister in law.

Rick, I see on FB you hit up Mt. Rushmore today. Truth, what did you think when you first saw it?

Karl, the further south and east we’ve gone the less the color change. The TV guy in Illinois said the lack of color is because the nights have not gotten cold enough and the days not warm enough

Mike, Larryc, Ron, thanks for the comments. I am hoping to be home Wednesday evening. The sister will stay in Illinois for a few days and her friends will drive her up to us and stay a few days.

Gas here jumped. Before noon as we pulled in the neighborhood gas station was $3.99 for regular and $4.59 for premium. After dinner tonight about 8PM it was $4.29 and $4.99.

    Evening everyone

It was a long day of running around taking my neighbor to the hospital for his hernia operation an them his wife to the Dr. for her appointment.

But the day ended with some very sad news for us. Our sister-in-law passed away from a massive heart attack. This was not expected at all.
I'm sure she is with her husband God Bless them both. We miss them dearly.

    Goodnight everyone.

Trip to Northern Command was uneventful colors quite spectacular in Northern 3rd of Lower peninsula. A bit less actually here in Yooper country, lower elevation? Not sure

Frost and fog at departure time. Gas $4.09 at top off stop, $3.99 at Gaylord 50 miles S of the bridge and it’s $4.40 in Manistique

Tried to upload color pics but the string from the tin can seems to have too much slack to send a pic.

Im behind in check out everyone’s projects with work at home and trip prep.

    Be well everyone.
