Bright sun and sky with the thermo approaching 40, on the path to 60 something later. With the clouds and rain start, yesterday turned decent with sun and a bit of wind. I hauled 160# of salt to the basement for the water softener and 40# of black oiler, sunflower, seeds in for the Doll’s birds and took a short walk.

I had a bone to pick yesterday with the rotisserie chicken, cleaned it off and started the day long process of some crock pot chicken noodle soup. Late in the afternoon I got out the bag of corn meal we use to fry fish, mixed it with some butter milk, eggs, sugar and butter and made up a pan of old time country cornbread. Ms Sweeter would have been quite proud. The soup, with Amish noodles, was excellent as well.

The Doll heard from our friends in FL, a brief note by text that things were a thousand times worse than the pics. We worry about their health, both in mid 70s and he’s had health issues, she’s seemed dismissive of. They’ll be returning to MI a soon as he had surgery soon.

I did a little recon in the basement for my vague layout work.

Lou’s latest project is fun to behold. Ron, travel safely, Mike, it warmed up any? Rick, ya saddling up yet or staying closed to Dodge? Larry, Jerry, TomO good to hear from y’all.

    Breakfast first, then….?

    Good morning everyone.

TomO, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Weather in KS: Sunny, with a high near 88.

TomO, glad you had a very enjoyable evening.

Philip, hope your weather warms up.

Larry, hope your weather warms up too.

Louis, we'll be on the lookout for your new project.

Karl, see, global warming now allows you to shovel in shorts.
I can see why your friends are overwhelmed.
Have fun with the RR expansion.

Jerry, what's happening in Toms River?

Mike, the loft sounds like it's the place to be.

    What's everyone else doing?

    Nothing real exciting here yesterday.
Did laundry, went for a couple walks with the dog and stopped at a brewery and had a beer.
Going to be real warm today so I should take advantage of it and wash the van.

    Have a great day everyone.

Hello, hello! I rarely open this lounge but the coffee is on. Ashpit narrow pot along with the various other things drunk here at Geezers! English muffin with cheese, sausage or on a bagel is in the serving line and I guarantee it tastes 1000% better then McD…

I saw Pretty Woman the Musical last night and loved it! Top 5 of the over 200+ plays I have seen since the mid-80’s. If you get a chance to see it, GO. Italian food out before hand with the older (60) sister of my Endocrinologist. The food, the company and the play all made for a great evening out.

Still at the bench weathering. My exhaust fan was wired wrong on my spray booth. It couldn’t clear a Krylon clear smell out the other day. The HVAC guy sent a service tech out and in 15 minutes found the issue and changed the connections and now does what it is supposed to. No charge, warranty work!

    enjoy the day
    TomO

Morning! Thanks for the coffee! Roof is still calling me. Has to be warmer or I'll need a heat gun to soften them. I have all the climbing gear. But gulp!

Hope that guy has sunscreen on!~

    Later!

    Morning Gents,

Ron thanks for the coffee this morning and good luck with the clinic.

Rick thanks for breakfast....steak and eggs....your going to spoil us. Enjoy your stay
    in KS.

Mike sounds like the loft is going to be quite the thing....you'll never want to leave.

Jerry sounds like your making some good progress. By the way I sent you a PM.

Tom O sorry to hear about the trees. I use Woodland Scenics latex rubber on mine
and it works quite well after multiple coats.

Karl don't blame your friends for being overwhelmed.....what a mess. Homemade soup sounds good to me.
    Have fun at the bench.

Louis good luck with the new project.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

    A cold and windy 45 with a high of 48 here in New York. That wind has been so cold the past few days;
hopefully it warms up soon. There are plenty of leaves to grind up but their going to have to wait until
it warms up tomorrow. Got distracted yesterday but did make it to the bench for about an hour so hopefully
today I can get more done on the back wall.

Have a great day everyone. Be safe and stay warm.

Good morning once again Guys, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Ron. And with the coffee. We just have to get that Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

48 degrees, and sunny today here in Rhode Island.

Not sure again what my day will bring yet for todays modeling efforts. Never did get to the bench yesterday. I will be posting my new project items that will be used.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Clouds and oozing clouds in the forecast. Starting out in the 30s going to close in on 50.

Had a call from Jeep dealer yesterday, I’d brought in the old lease title for my trade in, there was a replacement when I bought it at end of lease….so, soup got put off until today when I ran the title over to Battle Creek.

Our friends have gone down to survey the hurricane damage at their place: Theirs is the blue one…

She said it took two hours to drive the last couple miles. They’re in shock and just overwhelmed.

I went down to the layout and did some figuring on future work. I am planning a branch line and scenery projects after a fair bit of cleanup

Time to get some breakfast going then start my soup. Be well all…travel safely Rick and Philip. TomO interesting tree work.

    Later, all! KS

Addendum: Soups on, once I plugged the crockpot in… plans afoot for home brew corn bread later today. Mike’s Chowdah has my attention, too.

Mike our area at Northern Command is the lower tier of the UP and a friend once told me that it’s called by some the Banana Belt as it doesn’t get anywhere near the snow as just a couple dozen mile N and NW. Yes people actually do live, and thrive, that far. Our place is a full year house, we keep it going with heat and the dehumidifier system going. I just turn off the electric water heater and we’ll pump. Can be up and running in minutes after arrival. We will play it by ear on traveling up again. Most likely a week early December to keep out of holiday bs…

Good morning All! We are warming in Wisconsin, 32 now feels like 28 and heading to the mid 50’s. The trees though seem to be swaying more then they were a couple hours ago.

Weathering today on the Centerbeam cars. All handwork from here till the final clear matte finish. The airbrush is put aside until I have some time for it. The 5 trees and the candle wax didn’t work out. When I went to scratch the surface for the bark texture, it crumbled off. Over 500 trees I have done with candle wax and never had this happen. So over the weekend I will apply texture the old way. I will use the Woodland Scenics rubber mould compound, dip the brush and paint it on, many times.

    enjoy the day
    TomO

    Good morning folks,

Ron, thanks for coffee. Safe travels home this weekend.

Didn't make it to the bench yesterday, but did unpack a box with more modeling tools that I've been needed. The big event was setting up the loft stereo system and connecting to the TV. Still need to attach the rear speakers, but need more wire to do that.

Grocery shopping and taking Sweetie to Happy Tails for a spa day are on tap today. Later, I plan to make New England Chowder to help fight off the cold.

Thanks for the good wishes for my Sister. Last night she said she was feeling great.

    Have fun,
    mike
