  • 65 and sunny. Severe clear. Going to 71. The breeze is picking up already, rippling up the big puddle beyond the swamp.

Just had a few cuts off of the cinnamon roll we picked up in Rapid River:

You could feel a platoon of patriot riflemen with a couple of those. Not bad for $5.

We went out exploring yesterday over to Escanaba early. Picked up some trim boards.

After burgers and beans we went out to Pointe aue Barque and checked around. The thimble berries and spider webs were in full force and the monarch butterflies favorite milk weeds were plentiful. I had the drone up a couple minutes but got a wind warning that it was unstable and would have to handfly it back to safety. I did record a couple minutes. It did appear that few adventurers have been out there this year. The trail was quite grown up.

Having quite a run of ticks lately little bast-rds are everywhere

Better post before this disappears in timeout

    Be well all.

    • Good morning Rick, Louis, Jerry, Larry, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee Rick and the breakfast Jerry.

Had some nasty storms yesterday and last night, overcast today. Zoom meeting last night went well and I have one of the video's ready to be uploaded to youtube, should finish the other one tonight, or at least that is the plan.

      Have a great day everyone.

      • Morning men! Thanks for the coffee and bacon!

The troubled Lazy Susan fixed..pacing myself. I had to belt sand the rubbing bottom of the door. It was catching on the mount bolts. It had left a big scar in the wood.
I might get to that oil change today. Was 96 out felt like 100 so I hunkered down inside. The yard is looking shabby. My back is much better
if I could just stay off it.

        Doing lots of printing lately.

One in the printer is this whiskey rack. Later and have a great day!

        • My version of the rack. I made solid cross beams instead of the threaded rod with nut and washer because without a million supports the structure will warp and the rods are so thin they would surely fail to print. My SWAG anyhow Click image for larger version

        • Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee. Hope the day goes well for your Mom and you.

Larry, I like that high of 79F! How you figger it out.

Jerry, thanks for breakfast. Mmmm, good. Nice temps there, too. Hope you make it to the bench.

Louis, good luck with the lawn.

Dave, I haven't heard of pulling a boat trailer with a Harley, but I guess it possible.

          Karl, those fish sound delicious.

Philip, good to hear you are on the mend.

Ron, thanks for info about iMovie. Good luck with your clinics.

Tom, hope the lady of the house went easy on you yesterday.

We are having record temperatures here. Warranty A/C work in our addition is performed by a company that is 12 weeks behind. It's going to be a long hot summer for some folks. Going to plant herbs today, maybe organize the patio better. Hope to make it to the hobby area later today.

          Have fun,

            • Hello. Doing ok. Terry let me relax Wednesday but this morning…

We went for a drive. Drove east 70 miles so I could get a apple pie in a bag from the Elegant Farmer in Mukwanago, Wi. then lunch out at Ella’s in Wales. Saw no trains but crossed a few tracks. Tonight the granddaughter has a softball T-ball game at 7. The Miracle League of Dane County has a gorgeous ball field for kids with Special Needs.

Tomorrow and Sunday Terry has decided where we are heading out. It’s 90 minutes west to Mineral Point for Cornish Pasty on Friday. Sunday is north to a Art Craft Fair in Spring Green home of Frank Lloyd WRight’s Taliesin. Both were always good food and time spent before Covid of March, 2020 shut Wisconsin down.

I am worn out from today’s adventure but the cough medicine and Hall’s cough drops are keeping the cough in check. Resting now for the T-Ball game at 7.

              • Rick, Yes I have dabbled in wildfowl carving.

I'm most proud of this 1/4 size loon I carved.

My sister had been after me for a while to do something for her, so as a surprise I carved one and gave it to her on her birthday.

Beautiful loon. The Doll’s been wondering where the loons have up here. I showed her yours. “Beautiful”

              • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a selection of chilled soft drinks are ready to enjoy.

Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 84.

Dave, nice job on the loon.
Not just the carving but the painting too.

Jerry, glad you made it to the bench, but where's the picture?

Tom, enjoy the pie and hope you enjoyed the softball game.

What's everyone else up to today?

Me, I have a rescheduled eye Dr. appointment.
When I went Wed. the Dr. never showed up.
This afternoon I have a urologist appointment to see what the ultrasound the
                found.
Before any that there is some meal prep to do.

This guy gave me the stink eye yesterday.

                • Good morning,

Rick, thanks for coffee. Those pictures are really showing the detail. Good luck at the doctors today. I have often thought we should charge back our time to doctors when they are late or don't show. I actually did that once; I sent them an invoice for two hours at my billing rate. Never heard from them but he wasn't late anymore.

Dave, I really like the decoy. I have a decoy collection from European travels (when I was in Army), so I appreciate the fine art you've created.

Tom, sounds like one heck of a traveling weekend. I visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West and loved it. Hope you have a fun time.

Karl, that cinnamon roll looks like a blue lip special. Wow!

Philip, your 3D printing is looking good, as always. Do you have a still designed to go with those barrels?

Ron, how many more videos do you have to create?

Jerry, looking forward to Cripple Creek photos.

Kyle, Lewis, et al, what's on your bench?

Cold front came through last night, so high forecast for only 92F. Need to plant herbs I bought yesterday; otherwise, maybe some time in the loft.

                  Have fun,

                  • Good morning Rick, Mike, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Rick. where is everyone again? Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

Rick, like me, I went from never seeing a Doctor, until I retired, then it seems like I've seen every type of Doctor there is. From young women, to younger men than my own son.

Philip, I like that barrel rack drawing. Thanks for posting it. Another project for me.

64 degrees, with sunny skies here in Rhode Island at the moment.

Not sure again what today will bring yet. I'll have to play it by ear and try to get motivated. Did the lawn yesterday. I still would rather deal with cutting lawns than shoveling snow.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

                    • Speaking of weather, Mike. It’s 66 degrees here under high clouds on the shore of a rather gentle looking Lake Michigan. The cinni roll made a fine day of chop and snack.

I took the Doll to the movin pitcher show last night in Manistique. $12 for the two of us seniors…no discounts on pops and corn $27! We sawTop Gun Maverick. It was enjoyable. Some spectacular photography in the aviation scenes. The storyline was typical hollywood. A nice evening’s entertainment. I took a test and a joyride from a couple of Navy recruiters back in college. I’d have loved to fly but my pinhead would never have fit in one of their gigantic helmets. No sign of a check rack for egos in that bunch. That was the gist of their whole pitch. I understood a few years later how the Tailhook situation came to be.

Quite a weekend planned, TomO. Still contemplating ours. heading back South on Monday for a bit the back up for 4th of July and daughter’s birthday the 5th, big 4-0!

Everyone have a good day, Rick, Larry, Philip, Mike, Lou, Jerry and Dave et al, enjoy and be safe.

Mike, I finished editing the last video last night. Tried Uploading it but had issues, will try again tonight.

Tom, quite the road trip you have planned. Drive safe and have fun.

Dave, put that decoy in the water and you will have trouble spotting that it is a decoy, really nice work.

Philip, like everyone else really like the barrel rack.

Tomorrow I get to go home for a week , will be on the road early.
