Trimmed trees here yesterday. Aches consistent thru the night. Ran out for some groceries, bought steaks and grilled the, last eve. Decent, not magnificent to go with the $25 cost.

Not sure of the day’s plans.

If you're going to be living "on 4 wheels" I was surprised you didn't for for a Mac Book instead.

Karl the first question that comes to mind is: what's a steak? Mine is usually a ground up kind.

A sunny 60 with a high of 77 here in New York; probably rain later. Had a nice time at our Daughters yesterday.
Nice day to travel. Saw he new apartment which is about 900 sq.ft.....just right for one person. Ate dinner at a real diner
and the food was great. Today's going to be a rest day and maybe I'll go fix my extension ladder before it rains.

Still unpacking with hopes of having the train room sorted this week. HAd a bad allergic reaction to antibiotic and am covered in a rash that itches. When will normal return?

Yep, still under the weather but since I had my monthly allotment of 8 free Covid test kits I started using them. I am negative for the last 3 days of testing. I waited to test so Terry wouldn’t need to lie about being near anyone with Covid when she landed Friday on Maui. Thankfully it wasn’t necessary and boy was she ticked when I told her why I refused to test before she left. She would have stayed home. But, I am still miserable even after receiving the Indian version of Chicken soup from who now seems to be my baby sitter. My wife’s good friend and my doctor. Her hubby is a nice guy 15-20 years older then her and maybe 5-10 then me. Very old school British Indian. Chauffeurs her everywhere she says since he retired before Covid. They are somewhat fighting as he wants to return home to India and she won’t go. He is very interested in my trains and especially the DCC. He has some stories about riding the roofs of Indian passenger trains in the 50’s and 60’s before he came to the States. He is a EE by trade but became a Chicago commodities broker by need he says. Based on the house and property he and she have done very well.

Got a new but 2 year old drone from the son yesterday. He sent it 10 days ago UPS from Texas. Received the battery pack 7 days ago via USPS because UPS refused to ship it. Son thinks it’s time to use mainly the USPS, cheaper too. If I feel better I will test it this afternoon. It will half the daily flight time around the fence line plus no stops for a battery change. It’s a DJI Mavic 3 Cine. He loved using it but upgraded so sent it to me!

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10am. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 87.

Ron, congratulations on finishing the convention.
I did look at the MacBook pro but it doesn't have the computing power out of the box of the Studio.
To upgrade the MacBook I'd be spending more and have a much smaller screen.
The studio is small enough that storing it in the van won't be a problem and I can carry in a backpack if I need to.
I wanted a larger screen to make photo processing easier to see and it will also have to function as my TV.
During the day the screen will fit under the mattress easily and out of the way.

Tom, have fun with the drone and I like the meme.

Dave, I guess it does kind of look lick a thermos.

Larry, relax days are great.
The lens is just under 4 1/2 lbs and I can hand hold it when using it.
I will probably use a tripod for it most of the time.

Karl, I've taken over 100 pictures so far and can't wait for the computer to get here tomorrow so I can see them.

Back to work but this will truly be only a one day work week.

Lots of positivity in the air, good day to be… sunny turning to possibly severe storms here this afternoon then 2 days of super hot to grumble about. Then a nice weekend.

Was going to an ops session today but decided to stay home, if the weather does get bad, better to be here. Besides since Brandon’s gas is beyond reality… do have Rx’s to pickup so,e time.

Like to go N but the Doll has commitments off and on all week. Next Monday? We’ll see.

Supposed to hit 93F today with 98% humidity, going to be a muggy day. No modeling yesterday as I took the day to unwind from the convention. Will see what happens tonight, but now that the convention is over I will have the energy to get back to the workbench.

Hi all. Feeling better, no chills this morning and the body ache has lessened.

Waiting for the severe weather (T-storms) this afternoon. Tomorrow is when we get the Heat Advisory warning where the heat index hits 100- 115. Fun! I have not been on the decks since last week early Thursday. Usually it’s a daily thing!

The drone flies great. I explained on another forum that the drone for us is a tool. We use it to check the fence lines that keep the horses in check. Even though we have sold 300+ acres the last couple of years we still are around 900. It’s a varied property and the horses have access to almost all of it. So the fences need checking daily and not just the boundary fencing. It is also a security tool we use to watch the trespassers that I have mentioned here before. More in the Fall (hunters both duck and deer) then Summer (mainly hikers). Anyway, We drive out to roughly the central of the property and fly the drone.

The grandson is coming over in about 45 minutes. He is learning the game of golf and I have pretty much reached my limit in what I can teach him. His dad and I have talked about this. I think he is too young to focus on one sport but I prefer him playing golf then soccer or hockey. My son suffered too many hockey concussions and had to quit his Senior year in High School. The daughter played into college but had a couple soccer concussions. He has a great golf swing which I have helped with. I had some good professional teachers as a kid who helped me with my game and it can be a life time great game to play.

Besides working or taking the truck apart thank God for acetone.
The way he directions go is not the way to put it together.
The wheels don't fit under the fenders so the axle has to be moved forward.

I'm also going to start building the machines for the Sawmill while I still can see small parts!!
