    • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a selection of chilled soft drinks are ready to enjoy.

A slight chance of showers before 10am. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 81.

      Karl, browsing turn into buying?

Dave, unfortunately, higher food prices are more of a deterrent than hunger.

      Jerry, bench?

Mike, good that you have a plan.

Ron, you deserved a night off.

Louis, any thoughts on what's next?

      Larry, tell me about it.
$50 to fill up my Mazda yesterday.

      Tom, safe travels.

Philip, looks like they've got you over a barrel.

      Mealprep this morning.
Found out yesterday closing on the house will be on the 8'th.
I should go to the house and pick the last few things there that wouldn't fit in the car last time.

      Have a great day everyone.
Follow along as my dog and I travel the country in our van.

      • Good morning Rick, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge as usual Rick. It is the best way to start off the day.

60 degrees and cloudy here in Rhode Island today. The temps are crazy and rain to return.

Not sure what my next project will be, but I am tossing around ideas.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

        • Sun’s up! CHILL is on, 40s in the area early, going to 75 by late afternoon.

Harbor Frt did take a couple of my bucks, “Early Bird” for the weekend Parking Lot sale. Who can turn down a $10 grinder? Bought some triangle magnets for welding and a new set of tie down straps for the truck.

Quite a cruise, TomO. Told the Doll the price and she asked who could afford that? I said apparently a whole Boatload of People in my semi humorous tone of voice…

Headed in a bit to have the Doll’s ride lube/oil/service that’s due. Also noted the battery needs replace in, it must have a leak of some sort as it has more corrosion and discoloration than normal. Date on it is 2017 so it’s near the normal life range for our area.

I moved some boulders with the tractor and fiddled around out in the barn….can’t fart around like I usually do as I was practicing my welding Been several years since I’d done any. Some good videos out there that give a good idea on how to it. Working out ok. Using the big pile of worn out mower blades I have. Laying some fair beads, not PROffessional but better than rookie. Been 30+ yrs since I actually took welding at the Lansing Community College. I had a neighbor some years ago that worked for the highway dept, aka M-DOT, with a crew that traveled around the state fixing those bridges in the videos taking the box off a raised up dump truck or de-booming a construction crane…cool guy. Couldn’t wait to retire…finally did in November one year and was sick by February and gone by May…had this neat old Willys ‘50 era pickup he was going to fix up. He and his wife lived in a tiny old, really old, house 1/10 mi down the road that had log rafters…had an old I-H CUB he’d made a push blade for and plowed everyone out in the winter. IF you waited long enough.

          RED ! Time Out……

          • Good morning Rick, Louis, Karl, and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

            Rick, thanks for the coffee.

Between food and gas prices, thinks are a lot more expensive now.

Tom, looks like an interesting trip, a bit pricey though. You can drive around the great lakes and visit all the ports of call a lot cheaper.

Had some pretty wicked storms go here last night and it is a bit cooler today. Only 72F with a predicted high of 82 and sunny. Tonight I"ll do some more recording for the upcoming convention, trying to make as much automated as possible.

            Have a great day everyone.

No there was no bench time...

Ron we had those storms two night in a row.

Karl looks like Harbor took a few bucks from you!!

Larry, Philip, Dave what's on your agenda today??

              Everyone have a wonderful day!!

              • Howdy folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee. Wow, the 8th is a fast close! Good luck.

Just back from three month checkup with doc. A1C a little high, everything else in good shape. Got meds for a sinus infection. Car service this afternoon, otherwise, no plans for today.

                Have fun,
                mike

We were supposed to close on 5/27

              • Good morning. 6 minutes before I leave for the Doctor’s office. Edit, forgot to hit Post Reply, it is now 6 hours after my return from the doctor

Karl, I actually called even though there is absolutely no interest in going on the Cruise. Limited rooms already at the $14,000 each price, for the 2023 cruise. They were suggesting bigger rooms for another $2500, each. I love your response to your wife.

Ron, I have been to the USA cities but only Toronto on the Canadian side. Almost $1000 a day for the cruise. Terry and I prefer to drive as we can pull over and check out what is interesting. We dislike the restrictions of tours.

Rick, it’s good the house has a schedule to close. Your plan is still to travel the USA, right? Any idea where home base will be?

                • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a selection of chilled soft drinks are ready to enjoy.

Sunny, with a high near 83.

Tom, I won't have a home base in the beginning.
Maybe eventually, but I will declare residency in SD.

Mike, glad the doctor visit went well.

                  Jerry. what's new?

Ron, some of the worst storms I experienced happened while I lived in Northern VA.

Karl, that's a sad story about the welder.
The main reason I'm retiring the first chance I got.

                  Louis, how was your day?

Philip, Larry and Dave, hope you are all well.

Gotta run and drop off some oil based paints and un-used weed killers at a site the county uses to collect those types of things once every quarter.
                  Dinky later.

                  Have a great day everyone.

Rick, thanks for coffee. Guess I lost track of your sale.

Headed to Market Days in town. Going with daughter and SIL, so should be fun. Hope my stamina is enough for the day.

                      • Good morning, Rick, Mike and Jerry and those arriving later.

57° and sunny this morning in the Good land, headed for 77.

                        Thanks for the Java Rick.
Yes sir, that's why I got out as soon as I was allowed.
I've heard way too many stories like Karl's friend.
Work too long for a few extra bucks a month in pension and SSI
and gone within a year of retiring.
I'd rather that not be my story, lord willing.

Mike I hope you have a good time.

Jerry congratulations to her, her parents and grandparents!
                        Enjoy yourselves.

I've spent a fair amount of time at the bench between errands and....stuff.
Lots of it just staring at photos and the area I'm working on
trying to put what's in my head onto and into pink foam.
                        Its slowly showing it's self.

                        Enjoy the everyone.
                        Cheers!

                        • Sun, cool, 50s——>70 and clouds begged off from attending step grandson’s graduation at 10am. Not interested in attending a school event in what now is a marginally questionable demographic neighborhood. Besides, in the 10+ years I’ve known the kid he’s never engaged in even any polite conversation one has with adults much beyond a blank wtf stare when I’ve tried. I’ve never seen him standing up or participate any way around home. Out of respect for our daughter I will go to the open house next weekend.

Agree on the downside of any sort,of organized tours…besides, they’re full of old people…and I’m sure the crowd would scream if there was a sudden stop or maybe u-turn to check out that train headlight I just saw off in the trees back there a second ago… some old biddy would find out my former line of work and wreck my day telling traffic stop stories

Plenty to do today, gotta get going…befor the RED ! hits…

                          Be well all.
