  • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a selection of chilled soft drinks are ready to enjoy.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Areas of fog before 1pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 81.

Tom, when I ordered it last Sept I was told this november.
Not sure if that is still true based on the supply chain issues.
After I close on the house I'll start looking and try to find one sooner.

    Louis, enjoy your day.

Karl, move was relatively stress free but not ache free.

Mike, very happy you're feeling better.

Larry, glad you're happy with the work that is being done.

Jerry, what are you up to today?

Ron, Leclerc winning is very possible.

Dave, saw your last post on your layout and you're doing some excellent work.

Philip, you're out of the recliner and I got in it.
I agree with you about hearing from Larry and Roland.

    Move ent pretty well.
Still have a few smallll things to move that will fit in the car.
I'll do that today and tomorrow.
Also need to mow the lawn one more time.
Grocery shopping and a stop at the lawyers to sign something.
Living out of boxes and looking for things sux.

    Have a great day everyone.
Follow along as my dog and I travel the country in our van.

    • Morning everyone

Rick thanks for opening and the coffee.
When is the closing that you have to get out??

Weather in South Jersey today "SUCKS"!
Not sure what's on the agenda today!

I hope Roland is feeling better.

Need to go see what's going on in the rest of the forum.

      Everyone have a wonderful day!!

      • Cooler and hazy after what was reported as fog earlier. Chance of more rain today and tomorrow.

I kept busy most of yesterday and never got to the modeling bench. I did some work outside and out in the shop. I setup the plasma cutter on one of the old commercial computer desks I bought cheap at a surplus sale of some sort several years ago. Details are out there in the morning fog somewhere

Ill be headed to the hearing aid shop shortly to get the replacement for the mia unit ????

More later maybe. Gotta move along.

        Be well all!

Thanks for opening the place up Rick.
Good news about the Move, Advil is your friend, at least it's my friend.
Thanks in regards to the layout work, I appreciate it.

Jerry, bad weather? Its always nice at the workbench. Do de do de doo lol

Karl good luck with the replacement. I SAID GOOD LUCK WITH THE REPLACEMENT!

It's 52° in the good land, headed for 70 according to the guessers.
Sun made a brief appearance and then went back behind its clouds.
Supposed to be sunny this afternoon, looking forward to it.
I have a few veggie plants Id like to pot.
I do container gardening up close to the patio otherwise my efforts just go to feed the deer...

Until then I'm going to do some dry brushing this morning.

          Enjoy the day everyone!
          Cheers!

          • Good morning Rick, Jerry, Karl, Dave, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge as usual Rick. It is the best way to start off the day.

64 degrees and rainy here in Rhode Island today. The temps still continue to be going up and back down.

Not sure what this day will bring on yet. Time will tell. Maybe more work on my Crane Critter

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

              Rick, thanks for the coffee.

Karl, good luck with the replacement. At least you not taking them because the dog chewed on them, happened to me twice . I now keep them in a case out of her reach.

Weather here in Virginia is sucky too, supposed to be nice on the weekend though.

              Have a great day everyone.

                • Good afternoon from a weird Wisconsin. The weather guys says no rain as does the weather app. Someone forgot to tell Mother Nature. Nothing like the all day crap of 3” plus we received yesterday or the 1.5 on Wednesday.

But it’s flower buying time anyway. Stopped at HD and made the shareholders happy. Veggies were planted weeks ago in the cover walkway to the stables and we have been eating lettuce and a couple other grown things. She misses her greenhouses but the walkway is fine.

Trains, yes. Pictures are coming. The fiber optics in the Machine building in the Paper Mill complex are coming along with glitches. I blew out a brand new Illuminator about 10 minutes after I flipped it on. This is what lights up the fiber optics and instead of buying the $89.00 one for about 20 strings of fiber optic I got 2 from Amazon for less then that. Testing the second one after lunch. Not happy as I generally am not a cheapie but I went with the great advertising one, believed the hype. It will go back to Amazon but waiting for the RMA from them.

I doctor appointment next Friday, 6/3/2022. Then we are heading to Austin, Texas to see the son, Cave Creek, Arizona for the brother and then Pasadena for my sister. Then with Terry and the sister we head to the brother’s place in Hawaii. It is supposed to be ready like 6/10 but he can’t be there for move in day. Depending on what actually happens Friday I am doctor appointment free till mid-September.

                  Enjoy day

New hearing aid is working fine, over $2k and he wanted to chrg me 3% to use my card like hell…check’s in the mail.

                  Dinner’s ready.

                • Good evening folks,

There is Blue Ice, Jamesons, Sambuca, and Hennessey on the counter. Help yourself.

Rick, about living out of a suitcase...not fun.

Sunny day here and warm at 81F. Quarantine ends today, yay! To celebrate, I smoked a pork shoulder for 10 hours. Waiting to pull it apart in a few minutes.

Longing for the modeling room. Hope my stamina lasts. I get tired easy now. Laser arrived today and it is still in the box.

Here's a salute and toast to those who gave all.

                • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a selection of chilled soft drinks are ready to enjoy.

Scattered showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78.

Mike, hope your stamina returns and you get to unpack your laser today.

Karl, congrats on the new surcharge free hearing aid.

Tom, have fun on your trip and I'm glad you are able to travel to paradise.

Philip, sounds like you're feeling good.

Ron, we're having the yucky weather today but the next two look much better.

                  Louis, critter work?

Dave, hope you harvest a lot of veggies.

Jerry, don't have a definite closing date.
                  Hope it's this coming week.

                  Larry, you out there?

                  It's a Dinky weekend.
I have a student today so that will make my day easy.
Got some meal prep to do this morning.
Outside work will be a rainout but that's OK since I have a lot of indoor sorting to do.

                  Have a great day everyone.

                • Good morning Rick, and the rest of the inbound crew.

Hope everyone is well, and enjoys the long weekend.

God bless all our men and boys, who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of
                  our ideals and freedoms.

Whatever I do today, I'll be sure to take a drive to my parents resting place
and make sure everything looks nice, and my father has his flag flying as
he always did everyday, not just the special ones.

He was a S SGT in Co E 143rd Inf.

He was a Purple Heart recipient from being wounded in St. Marie, France the 29th of Nov. 1944.

He was involved in battles and campaigns in Southern France, The Ardennes, The Rhineland and Central Europe for which he received the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon W/four Bronze Battle Stars and a Bronze Service Arrowhead among others.

As was the norm, I only know this from reading his service record, as he too would not speak of
what happened "over there" except with his buddies during meetings at VFW events, which he was very involved in when I was very young.

And when he did speak with them, and I was with he would find things for me to occupy myself with, well out of earshot.

I'll forever be proud of my Father and those who served with him.

                • Good morning Rick, Dave and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

                  Rick, thanks for the coffee.

Dave, while Canadian (we honor our veterans on November 11), I too honor their sacrifices so that we have the liberties and freedoms we have today.

Still not much happening here as work on the convention is ongoing, got a few more "modelers minutes" to complete, should get that completed this weekend. Seeing as Monday is a Holiday, might do some sight seeing.

                  • Morning Gents,

Rick thanks for the java and put your student though their paces; nothing wrong with having
an easy day at work. Sounds like your moving right along on the whole moving thing.

Dave sounds like you have a lot to be proud of with your Father. My uncle was in WWII and
made it back home safely when most of his unit didn't. Sadly he lost his life in a motorcycle accident
                    a month later.

Ron I bet you'll be relieved when the convention is completed. Have fun sight seeing.

To the rest of the Crew hope your doing well.

A rainy 61 with a high of 70 here in New York. The Contractor is almost finished and will return Tuesday for about
four hours to finish up and of course get his check. Have to take the cat for blood work in a bit to check on his
weight and Thyroid condition. This afternoon I hope to actually make it to the bench for awhile.....modeling
                    with drawl is setting in.

Hope everyone enjoys their long weekend Holiday weekend. Be safe and be well.
