  • Saturday Morning Lounge

Good morning from S.E. Michigan where winter is hanging on. We are at 25 degrees and heading into the low 40's under sunny skies today. Snow is in the forecast for tomorrow and Monday.

Breakfast today has a selection of hot and cold cereals, fresh strawberries, and corn bread drenched in butter. Our coffee is our Hostler Blend.

I didn't get any actual modeling done yesterday, but did make a good deal of progress cleaning up the modeling area. Some more of that today with some actual modeling mixed in.

There are some interesting critters being posted in the Photo Gallery, and I only opened it up yesterday. Do you have any to add?

    Have a great day!

Good morning Bruce, and all incoming crew. Thanks for the chat and cup of brew this morning Bruce.

The Critter thread did for sure start off real good.

We are at 41 degrees this morning here in Rhode Island, and temps should rise some throughout the afternoon.

I got my March FOS Scale kit of the month to work on, so that may be my day at the bench.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Good morning Bruce and Louis. Bruce, thanks for opening.

Louis, are you going to try to keep up with building a kit per month?

It's a sunny 31F in northern West Virginia. I head to the club soon for an open house, then we will probably do some trail walking.

I worked on scenery yesterday and hope to do more today. Static grass.

I hope everyone has a great day!

      Mike

Good morning,, Bruce and later arrivals. I haven't had breakfast yet, yours sounds tasty. The NH seacoast is sunny and headed for the 50s. I've been working on 1:1 preservation much of this week, and it'll continue into next. Plenty of ongoing things on my layout to fill any gaps, too.

Cold and hard frost at daybreak in my part of lower Central Michigan. Clouds and rain coming earlier than Bruce. We had a beautiful starry sky late last night that was too darn cold to enjoy. The sky was quite clear early as the sun was about to pop up but it’s passing thru the hazy phase and approaching mostly overcast gonna rain in a while stage with occasional sucker holes of brightness. Szitzoid day, spelled wrong but, you know…

I “took a drive” around the UP a bit ago, state has a ton of cams all over at https://mdotjboss.state.mi.us/MiDrive/cameras Lots of snow still, but the roads look decent.

No modeling here yesterday, either. Found some “Cheap” gas and drove around and burned some of it up. Was passing the airport at Battle Creek yesterday and saw one of those tilt-wing Osprey’s hovering about. As I wasn’t driving, going to the junque shop a few blocks down was MUCH more important than taking a moment to reposition for a photograph. Sudden deafness….. I guess noisy aircraft can cause that as well as tunnel vision.

Maybe some bench time later, who knows. Sort of nuts lately…

Bunch of Loksound stuff coming today, 2 decoders ~$25 cheaper at Yankee Dabbler than my usual shop in AZ plus a decoder tester to go with the lokprogrammer I have. More junk to put on the one of these days shelf…

          Later, y’all.

I've gotten some good prices from the Dabbler recently too, Karl. I was only in the store physically once because it was quite far south in Jersey compared to where we live. But it was a great store to browse through for sure.
