    Chilly Monday Lounge

    Good morning, all. I got up early and have time now to open up the Lounge. Kettle's on, Switch Heater blend in the urn (you should see the light in 5 minutes), pastries, breads and fixings on the counter (including Hot Cross Buns) and the last of the local apples in a basket at the end.

    The NH seacoast got a dusting of snow last night and is now overcast and mid-20s. Our forecast high is ~30F and teens are predicted tonight. I'm waiting for our furnace to finish its "don't open the door for 30 min." stage of a cold start on wood. I got my modules back into the layout last night, probably some time on scenery and Bolles Motors today, then Selectmen before dinner.

    Good morning. Thank you for opening, James.

    Yes, winter's back, briefly. Yesterday's walk was in freezing temperatures, but today should be a little warmer. There wer a few stalwarts out on the rail trail; the usual suspects.

    I did some scenery work with building a hill on my layout. Last night's concert was a lot of fun. Very eclectic. Janis Ian was in fine form; it's hard to describe the hold she had over the audience. And our friend did well. They announced the show will be broadcast on or after April 15th.

    Off to the club now.

      Good morning James, Mike and the rest of the crew. It is 19 degrees and heading up to 29 degrees here in S.E. Michigan. A warming trend will begin tomorrow.

      More progress on the Coal Tipple yesterday. Now down to three 'punch list' items and I hope to attack two of those today.

        No snow observed about 20 miles north of James' house, but it's chilly and sunny. Today's project will continue the priming and painting of the B&M boxcars.

          30* this morning and I'm off to an errand shortly; rest of the day is dedicated to clearing the galleys off my desks and then the rest of the stuff from the office desks. Shop time is a firm maybe at best.

            Morning James and the rest of the RR-L Crew this chilly Monday morning. Almost the end of the month. I'll just have some instant oatmeal with almond slices and dried Cranberries with tea. I have this every other morning. Good for cholesterol cleaning of the arteries. Nothing else new here. Just need to put my nose to the 3D grind stone and get some work done. Gosh I'll be glad when I sell this all off and play at stuff. [laugh]
            Everyone have a FUN and SAFE day in the Train Yard of Life.

              Mornin' All!!

              Eighteen, feels like twelve and headed all the way to twenty-six today in the northern mitten. Off-and-on snow showers alternating with blue sky make things confusing, but it's still Wintah here.... Road Commission plow just barreled down the road, leaving a large wake. And here comes another snow squall, which will no doubt drop the visibility to about fifty feet before wandering off to annoy others east of here.

              Errands are on the block today, then more tilting with the decoder on the Doodlebug, pr perhaps taking the lass frustrating path of simply connecting the interior lights to yet another LED running off the headlights. Need the interior lit in both directions!
