    Sunny Sunday Lounge

    I noticed the lights weren't on, so I found the key and opened up. Rail Bender blend is in the urn, the kettle is on and there's homemade bread, peanut butter and preserves on the counter. Plus Cheerios.

    I bought one item at the Greenberg show yesterday and saw a number of people I hadn't seen in a while. New Bolt battery worked fine and we caught a freight in Haverhill on the way home. It's sunny now on the NH seacoast, but there's precipitation forecast for tonight. Back to Wilmington this afternoon for takedown.

    Mornin' James! The Railbender Blend may be a good choice, especially served HOT, as the temps here are 19, and given the howling winds, it feels like 3 in the northern mitten. April is coming, and hopefully with it, some warm!

    The Doodlebug project continues, and after I resolve the interior lighting issues, should be ready to wrap, weather and place into service. What should have been a simple process to get light inside while running in both directions has turned into another "Cultural Experience," so it's time to rethink the process and try something else. Thrill a minute....

      Good morning, James and Pete. Thank you for opening, James.

      It's 29F with a light coating of snow here in northern WV. A bit more snow today then it's a warming trend.

      Yesterday I fixed a door rimlock and replaced another. I put it off for years but now that we have a pet that will push doors open I needed to do something.

      I think I'll work on scenery this afternoon. This evening we are attending Mountain Stage (it's on public radio) to see a friend perform. Also, Janis Ian, a gentle blast from the past.

        WUMB (Umass Boston radio) has a transmitter near me, and they rebroadcast Mountain Stage. Is your friend a headliner, or a band member?

        He's a headliner. His name is Chris Haddox. I don't know if he will have others playing with him or not. I've seen him do solo and with groups. The show tonight is live and will be broadcast in the future. I think that's how it works.

      Good morning to the entire crew. Thanks for opening the lounge, James.

      Wind chill here in S.E. Michigan are also in the single digits, and we got another half inch of snow over night. We will stay in the 20's today and tomorrow for high temps.

      Work on the Coal Tipple is the plan for today. I weathered the roof panels yesterday and am satisfied with the results. I would love to wrap this project up over the next few days.

        Morning James and the rest of the RR-L Crew. Chilly here in central Indiana with temp this morning at 34f on the way to Church. Snowed yesterday but most all gone except on the tops of evergreen bushes. Sort of looks like white frosting on green cakes.

        Worked hard yesterday trying to put a dent in the large order from Steve. Did pretty good at it but need to do a number more. No rest for the wicked I guess.

        No breakfast for me, Had Dunkin Donuts we picked up on the way to Mass. Get there early and have coffee and our donuts as I have meds I need to take.

        No RSSM work today, it's a day of rest and I'm going to use it. [grin] Everyone have a FUN and safe day in the Train Yard..

        Winter seems determined to have another go at us, so firewood is in and ready.....

        Did a pan full of bacon to pile on a bagel and some strong tea (lime and back cherry, ), and it's a full day on the office. Cleared out a bunch of stuff from my shop that will end up in the fireplace. Storing way too many leftovers that I'm sure I'll regret tossing about the time I'm carrying the ashes out from the fireplace.

        Have to scrounge up some lunch soon and more strong coffee & tea both - both publications have me working on galleys at the same time......
        In a time like ours seemings and portents signify. Ours is a generation when dogs howl and the skin crawls on the skull with its beast's foreboding.

          Hey guys can you head over to the On30 lounge and wish Roland ( Hopeless) some get wells. He's had a stroke and is recovering but needs some get well wishes. Thanks!
