Good morning, Bruce. Thank you for opening. It's a partly cloudy 60F here, a good day for getting out.

Yesterday I did a little ballasting of spots I'd missed and where ballast had not been glued down well. Looks better. This in preparation for showing my layout to people attending the NMRA division meeting tomorrow. I'll run some trains to make sure all is well but otherwise leave things alone.

Good morning Bruce, Mike, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up, the lounge this morning Bruce, it's the best way to start off the day with a chat and cup of brew.

Today the wife will be making a homemade Corned Beef and cabbage dinner for our St. Patrick's Day meal with friends and family. Something to look forward to today.

50 digress already this morning in Rhode Island, however a raining on and off day. Looking forward to spring!

Nothing planned for today railroad wise, so we'll play it by ear and see what the day brings.

Yesterday wife and I went to a new Turkish restaurant, it was good. I passed on the baklava dessert in favor of the birthday cupcakes wife baked earlier yesterday.

Good morning Bruce and Crew.

Weather is crummy, a day for trains or installing art. Or both. The daughter had 1st pick of my brother’s collection from the house in Arizona. She said though yesterday when it arrived that she didn’t realize how big it was. This will be interesting as Terry and her were buying art locally about 3 weeks ago. The son has a bunch from his uncle that he hauled back in the truck and trailer. Much of it my brother’s “fabled” garage art. Fabled in his mind anyway! That and the dumpster is where Brian thinks some of it should be. Everyone has different tastes but Brian has the finished garage and he will display it in the environment it deserves. At least until the brother makes an appearance in Texas.

The son is in day 2.5 of his open house in the new place. He is very happy how the house came out. He invited 2 of my cousins who live in San Marcos, Texas and they showed up. He never met them before and they are from dad’s side of the family that we were never friendly with. I know the names but couldn’t tell you anything about them. He said next week he will tell Terry and I all about the visit. Can’t wait…

Good morning all! 41 degrees and rainy heading for 47 and rainy here in SE Illinois. Lazy morning here, just drinking coffee and relaxing.

As I previously said, yesterday was my last day working at Lowe's. Despite a lot of legitimate things to gripe about, my experience there was largely positive. I made some good friends and learned a lot about electrical wiring and a little about plumbing. I really appreciated all co-workers who came to find me yesterday to wish me well and thank me for being a hard worker and someone they could count on. I'm sure going to miss all of them and even some of my regular customers. I'll miss the type of work I did, but not all the stressful stuff that went along with it. Now, it's on to the next adventure and I can't wait!

One thing I'll miss is going to take my lunch each day at a park near the store. An old B&O line runs east-west through town right next to where I park for lunch. CSX has the line now and only uses it a little for local area trains these days. It's rare to see a train longer than 5 or 6 cars behind the two power units, but every once in a while I see a big one. Won't be working or eating lunch in that town anymore. The new job is 30 miles from there but much closer to home and less than a mile from the Indiana Rail Road tracks. I have a friend who works as an engineer/conductor for INRD and he often lets me know if anything cool will be coming through.

Went out for dinner with my wife yesterday evening. Nothing fancy, just really good burger from a locally owned place in a nearby town. That place has excellent food and we love going there, but it's about 45 miles away so we don't go often.

Good afternoon, all. The NH seacoast is overcast and damp. I spent the morning Zooming to Seashore's Trustees meeting. After a little work on a different preservation project, it'll e time to go up to the layout.

I'm Back. It's been a few years. Had a hard time getting the login working and gave up. Dutchman (Bruce) fix my login finally so I'll try and get back on posting a bit.
