I'm using prefab code 83 microengineering track and switches. I'm not sure what radius I will need. Something tighter than their stock version.

    Are you using a template?

I'm using ME track code 70 and TEMPLOT to design the layout, which can print the detailed templates and I lay the turnouts, tracks on top of that.

Nice work. Thanks for the link! I have plenty of PCB board and a rail bender I fabbed up out of rollers/ washers when I built the turntable pit. I need more tools.
Is the frog the only part that needs to be isolated?

Yes, the frog needs to be isolated and gaps cut in the ties.
If you make a live frog, it can be as big as you want, but if its not powered, make sure, that the first wheel pair and the last wheel pair of your smallest locomotive touches at least one of the live rails. If they are both at the same time on the isolated part, it will get stuck

All the turnouts have been built: 7 on the top level and 2 on the lower (mine level).

Very nice work, they match your track plan very precisely. What kind of equipment are you going to be running?

I have a 0-4-0 Porter and I bought 2 short axle diesels, still waiting to arrive.

                    This is the Porter:

I will construct dump cars and skeleton disconnects from scratch.

Nice looking turnouts. Templot is a powerful tool, but it has a steep learning curve.

Yes, it's not the most user friendly tool, but its possible to create any rail configuration if you have the patience to learn it.
                      I'm still learning it myself.

Baseboard done and mine level construction will start soon.
(It's only the printed trackplan to get an idea of the track on the board)
