  • Mario Rapinett

I just read a post on another forum about the passing of Mario Rapinett. I have no reason to doubt the authenticity of the report.

His own work and photographic collection of the work of others was an inspiration to so many of us here on this forum.

    God speed and God bless.

I just read this on Facebook. Mario was an occasional participant here. His input was always interesting and well received. Condolences to his family and friends.

          Really sad to hear this.

I sent Mario a newsy catch up just a few days ago and wondered when I didn't hear back from him. Usually that would have resulted in a phone call back. Mario came to visit me several times here in New Zealand, staying with me on a couple of occasions. He was adamant he would return as soon as the borders opened up again. Sadly, that will never be. RIP my friend.

                Very sad news.
Mario was a very friendly, passionate and talented man.
He had interests in modeling, photography, music and dance, theater and more.
But probably his greatest pleasure came from being around family and friends and meeting new people.
He will be sorely missed by everyone.

Well, once again with bad news in our railroad family. My condolences to Mario's Family and very many Friends.
I agree with everyone before me. He was one of the greatest. Everything from Modeling, thru as Rick said, you name it, he's done it.
He will be missed by many!
