  • Bay Window Caboose

Okay, I know it's a bay window caboose and it's also a complete impulse buy, but does anyone have a clue as to prototype or whatever?

In a time like ours seemings and portents signify. Ours is a generation when dogs howl and the skin crawls on the skull with its beast's foreboding.

Wow, a week later and no one here recognizes the prototype,

Well.......I guess it's going to be a seat of the pants project then.........which may have been inevitable,

I don't think I've ever seen stacked windows like your model. I scrolled through the first screen of Google Images without luck. The roof walk makes me think pre-1970, but few small windows hint at circa 1980.

Look a little further: NKP class C7 bay window caboose. Photos of #470 are on the web, but nkphts.org doesn't list it as preserved. Which is odd, as the photographer says he shot it at Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke. Built 1962 by International.

Agree with James. Several additional photos of the class are available on Google images.

      Thanks, guys!!!!

Had a sneaking suspicion that it was NKP, but I'm clueless about recent rolling stock. Seems to be quite a few photos out there now that I know what I'm looking for..........might have to hit up a serious NKP modeler for more info before I dive into this project.
