      The ice house looks terrific! Like the can turned water tank, good reuse of household products. Cool blocks of ice.
      Nice delivery van as well!

        Thanks Mike, the ice blocks came out the way I hoped. This was the most difficult part of the build.

            Dave, great build.... as usual! A question if I may.... how did you construct the louvers at the top of the building?

                Thanks Pete.
                The louvers are thin basswood. I cut out the foamboard wall and an opening for the louvers. Then I put a wood frame with verticals around the opening using Aleenes. When set up I turned unit over and ran a light bead of Aleenes down the back for more strength.

                    Dave,

                    The ice house looks wonderful, and OLD. If I might make a suggestion, something I have always found interesting,
                    a detail that is easy to model. The bands on these old tanks usually got closer together as you move down the tank
                    to compensate for the increased water pressure.

                      Dave, your ice house came out looking very nice! I really like the wax being used as blocks of ice.

                        Thanks Bob and Greg. I'll use the varying spacing for containing the tank water pressure buildup on my next tank.
