    Two Old Busses

    Howdy folks,

    I found these two intriguing OO / 4mm scale bus kits at my local shop. I bought them thinking about another railbus project but think I may assemble them as is for a OO9 mini-layout I've had in the back of my mind for some time.

    Has anyone ever built a GS Models kit? They're metal, very heavy and from the 70s (the castings come wrapped in newspapers, mine is a page from the Daily Mirror, Saturday November 10, 1973, so almost 48 years ago...).

        I can see your pictures now.
        I've seen this same thing happen to others when posting pictures.
        If you don't mind, I'd like to know what you did in your first post and then in the second.
        Did you use the same icons?
        Just trying to learn how the new forum works and it's quirks.

        EDIT: I do notice the picture strings comparing the first post to the second is very different.

          I followed the instructions that were posted on N scale vehicles thread. I thought I did it the same way both times. I could see both images

            I would have thought two different methods were being used.
            Notice the photo data string from your first post is different from your second one.

              Where does 4mm scale fit on the relationship scale?

              I’d have to build those using a mirror, so they’d end up left hand drive…

                Nice buses Cody. I particularly like the 2nd one.

                Karl, 4mm is an English scale, also called OO and equates to 1/76,
                so slightly larger than HO, which is 3,5mm to the foot.

                And then there is 1/72 scale which is close enough for buildings & figures to also be used for OO, but is mostly common for aircraft and military kits.

                  Techniques for building these cast metal buses can probably be borrowed from people building/modifying GHQ Models construction and farm equipment kits. I posted an upgrade of their Hay Wagon kit here: https://railroad-line.com/node/31866
