  • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and an assortment of cold sodas are ready for your enjoyment.

Sunny, with a high near 56.

Karl, I'm mostly doing the same here that you did with your Mom's home.
Things really that bad up north as in that old picture?

Ron, sounds like we might see an update on your outhouse soon.

Larry, I'm lucky having the work schedule I currently have.
Two days off and two days where I don't sign up till 5 gives me 4 days to work around here.

Louis, that got that March kit to you just in the nick of time.

Jerry, today should be a better weather day.

Mike, Tom, Philip and everyone else hope you are all well.

    Back to The Dinky again.
A little more will get done here before that.
A trip to Mom's too to see how she's doing and take a few more things there as well.

    Have a great day everyone.

    • Up early here, cold 23o but the sun is out. The ground is covered with a hard frost. The weather babe from GRap says enjoy the sun ‘cuz it ain’t gonna last, rain and possibly snow by mid afternoon. The needle’s skipping on that tune, aPeggy Lee was it? Is That All it is, my Friend…? Really effecting the synapses betwixt the ears

Rick, not sure what is going on up North. About forgot what it looks like. It’s never like my photo where we’re at. Go up to the N off Lake Superior at the Keweenaw Peninsula they had 300” of snow. I’d imagine that would be something to see. I trekked up that way in the late ‘70s in late winter and they’d had 320+. It sat in layers almost like the rings on a tree. Easy to see as they used big rotary rigs to cut thru the snow. I think the ice was bad earlier this week and ice on the big lakes quite something, too. I’d like to see it but not bad enough to deal with it and associated risks if you get off track somewhere. Just the same old cold s*** is wearing.

We drove around some yesterday, found some “cheep” gas and drove around and burned it up. Went past the airport in BattleCreek as one of those tilt wing Ospreys was hovering around. Wasn’t driving so we didn’t get where I could take a pic. She gets real deaf when there is a junque store close…

Zero plans today, as seems to be default here. Train show in K’zoo but there is absolutely nothing I’d need or want to go over there.

Have a dinky day, Rick. Everyone stay well.

      • Morning everyone

Rick thank for opening and the coffee.

Weather here in South Jersey sunny/32. Later on 55.

One of the grandkids is visiting for the weekend so we will busy with him.

Nothing from the bench as of yet.

Oh and still no part for the Honda.

That's a lot of snow Karl but it would be nice to see!

Larry, Louis, Philip, Ron, Mike & Tom have a day filled with fun.

        Everyone have a great day!!

        • Good morning Rick, Karl, Jerry, and all incoming crew. Thanks for the chat and cup of brew this morning Rick.

We are at 41 degrees this morning here in Rhode Island, and temps should rise some throughout the afternoon.

I got my March FOS Scale kit of the month Rick just before April fools, the kits usually come in around the last few days of the month.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

          • Morning Gents,

Rick thanks for the coffee. Nice you have a work schedule that actually works for you instead of the other way around
which is the way it usually works.

Karl cheap gas? Didn't know what such a thing anymore. When I started driving back in 1968, yes I'm an old fart, gas was 29.9 cents a
gallon....five bucks would fill your tank....ah the good old days. Could't imagine 320+ inches of snow...sounds like Oswego, NY which sits
right on the edge of Lake Ontario.

Jerry enjoy the grandkid; don't let him/her wear you out. Good thing you bought a new ride considering the loooooong wait for the Honda
part. You could have "scratch built" the part yourself quicker.

Louis have fun with the new kit. Should be quite the water front scene when your done.

The rest of the Crew hope your all doing well.

A cloudy 38 this morning with a high of 43 here in New York. Work continues on the mini scene and hopefully some work will
happen on it today. Other than that not much else going on here.

Enjoy your day. Be well and stay warm.

I remember chain of stations in the Flint area where I was working in the ‘68 era, summer job for college, Mattis Gulf 19.9 cents per gallon. Then the 4 yr old Chevy cost us something around $900.

          • Good morning Rick, Karl, Jerry, Louis, Larry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

            Thanks for the coffee Rick.

Karl, it was 34F here when I got up this morning and I'm finding that cold .

No modeling last night, but the bench is cleared so progress can continue.

            Jerry, enjoy the grandkids.

            Have a great day everyone.

              • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and an assortment of cold sodas are ready for your enjoyment.
I see Mike in the lounge too so we might have two coffees to choose from.
                Never a bad thing.

Showers before 1pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 1pm and 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce small hail and gusty winds. High near 53.

                Karl, 300"!!!
                No thanks.

Jerry, enjoy your time with the grandkid.

Louis, have fun with the new kit.

Larry, I started driving in '73 and think gas was still in the .30's.
Could fill up the bug for 2 bucks.
Shocked when the first oil crisis hit and it took $5 to fill the bug.

Ron, hope the bench became somewhat cluttered last night.

Philip, hope you had a good one.

Tom, Mike, Les, Mark and everyone else peeking in, good morning.

An indoor day for sure and you all know what I'll be doing.

                Have a great day everyone.

                • Good morning folks,

Coffee, tea, and soft drinks are on the counter. There you'll find breakfast, sour dough waffles, chicken chorizo sausages, maple syrup, Irish butter, etc.

It's a bright day in the Piedmont. Temps should flare to 70F this afternoon.

Son and family arrived yesterday from Washington State for spring break. It will be nice to have daughter and son with families all together. We have a fun week planned. Here is a photo of son and family headed to daughter's house.

                • Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the cup-o-joe this morning. When you get the house sold and everything packed up your
not going to know what to do with yourself.....oh ya....that's called "retirement".

Rest of the Crew hope your all doing well and in good health.

A cloudy 37 with a high of 42 here in New. York; oh ya the "white crap" is falling. Work continues on the
mini scene and hope to post an update later today; then it's on to part 2 of same.

Have a great day everyone. Be well.

Accomplished little yesterday, similar plans for today.

Great to have family together, Mike. Nice to see faces with smiles, and sunshine!

                      • The waffles sound great. My last experience with them being freshly made was at a motel last fall. I wasn't paying attention and instead of pouring the oil onto the hot griddle, I poured the syrup. Man does that stuff smoke up a dining area in a hurry. My wife has relegated me to EGGOS at home, but I do get real Wisconsin Maple Syrup instead of that commercial glop they call syrup.
Should be a good week for modeling as the weather forecast is snow and rain tonight through Thursday night. I needed a diversion so I'm working on some On30 Sugar Cane cars. Why I don't know, as my layout is Upper Michigan copper mining. Trying to cull the herd of excess rolling stock and so far, so good, except the Titletown Trainshow is next weekend and that may set back my schedule a bit.
Hope everyone has a great week, the game on Monday should be good, and I'll poke my head into the lounge once in a while.

Rick & Mike thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Nice looking family Mike have fun with them.

                          Weather in South Jersey rain/54.
That will be he weather on and off all day!

Were having a good time with the grandson hell leave later today.
                          Work for him tomorrow.

Larry when Rick retires he'll be moving around the country in his new set of wheels (home).
Maybe just maybe he could pop in at different guys homes and give them a hand for a day or two!!
That way he won't get bored.

Karl. Louis, Philip & Ron enjoy the day!

All the GYPsys I ever ran into were selling roof paint jobs to old people, "got some extra material from my last job" 1/2 a bucket of silver color with a couple gallons of kerosene that will wash off after the next storm. Or a gallon of coal tar and the same kero to seal that driveway.....N Carolina or GA tag on their rigs.

                            Wanderer sits better
