Sun and 46 already this morning. Sneezing and stiff from the day’s activity outside.

Our furnace guy is due btw 8:30 and 10 for the fall checkup. Then I’ll get out to do some more stuff outside.

    Everyone have a fine day.

      Good morning everyone,

      Thanks for the coffee RIck.

Karl, beautiful sunset and maple tree. Too bad it doesn't last.

Rick, I was converting to On30 when I joined the forum way back in 2007 (has it been that long already ). I believe there was a build for a raffle layout for CHEO where I donated a lot of the kits for the project. Other than that I don't think I posted anything in N scale on the forum.

Had a nice walk with Gracie this morning as it was 4C (39F), first morning in about a week where the temperature was above freezing.

      Have a great day everyone.

      Morning everyone

      Rick thanks for the coffee.

Karl nice picture of the trees. Yeah to bad they don't last longer!

Funny I was doing HO before I joined the forum. But really made me change to O was when I saw Dave Revelia pictures in Finescale Modeling. It was a Tom Yorke Kit I believe the "Factory".

Not sure what's on the agenda today. But I hope to finish the last wall for the EH/MS.

      Everyone have a wonderful day!!

Good morning Rick, guys, and all incoming crew members. Thanks for opening the lounge for our daily cup of brew and chat to start the day.

Glad to hear your vacation week went well for you Rick. Nothing worse than working your "A" off day after day, only to find your long awaited vacation was a bummer. Had many of those type vacations when working for a living.

It is 49 degrees and sunny today here in Rhode Island. It is going to be an unusual few warmer days ahead this week. I don't mind that.

The split camp store is about ready for continued posting of this build. I don't know if it is only me or everyone. But seems like any model railroad supply orders are list not in stock or temporally out of stock. What is going on????? I can't find 2x6 strip wood lumber, so I had to rip some 2/12's to get what I needed. Even the MidWest company stated they were temporally out of stock.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. See you all on the Forum.

Morning! Gena is gone to her club meet and I'm cooking kentucky dirt in the over. Steaming out the micro critters.

Thanks for the coffee! Can't remember when I started On30, but do remember packing HO in, in realization my efforts vs completion would never happen.
Plus I was doing more work at the club layout than home.

Such an interesting hobby. Always wanted an N scale layout. i can barely get the On30 stuff on track as the overhangs are extreme.

Gotta go..Gena may be home dirty soon!

            Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the cup-o-joe. Enjoy the nice weather while on vacation.

Karl very nice photos of the sunset and the tree. Yup this is the weather for sneezes
and sniffles. Had my furnace cleaned about a month ago and it still looks like
new even though it's about 15 years old.

Ron I guess you have been around for awhile. One nice thing about modeling you
only get better with time...sort of like a fine wine.

Jerry looking forward to progress photos of the EH/MS.

            Louis I've seen the same things with railroad supply places; lots of "out of stock";
must be in a shipping container sitting in a port. Could make things interesting
            on the modeling front.

Philip On30 has a way of sneaking up on you and taking over. For me I was modeling
in half inch scale first so On30 was actually a smaller scale for me; but I'm glad I
            made the switch.

Rest of the Crew enjoy your day no matter what you're up to.

A cloudy 45 this a.m. here in New York with a high of 61; nice to have it a little warmer.
Not sure what's on deck for today, so we'll see how things shake out.

Have a great safe and healthy day.

              Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee. Happy vacation.

Karl, hope you enjoyed the outdoor activities. I loved those photos. Nice!

Ron, sounds like a nice walk this morning. Enjoy'em while you can.

Jerry, I think Dave and Brian converted a lot of us to On30. Those structures just made you smile inside.

Louis, I had the same problem with 2X6 lumber several years ago when building the Choctaw Lumber kitchen. I had all kinds of HO lumber, but didn't have O scale dimensions yet. Nobody had them in stock around here.

Larry, hope you unplanned day is a good one.

Finished another round of PT. Today is dedicated to outdoor todo items. The weather is 79F and cloudy. Having the MG detailed tomorrow. I don't have the time to wash, wax, and detail the interior. The move date is coming on fast. Yesterday was a hobby room packing day. I'll continue that later in the day.

              That's it from Lake Wobegon!

              Have fun and stay safe,
              mike

Was looking thru the early On30 stuff here and found this little Porter Bash with tender by Shamus. Added old man winter for effect!
                Enjoy!

                  Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and an assortment of cold sodas are ready for your enjoyment.

Sunny, with a high near 69.

Karl, hope the furnace guy showed up on time.

                  Jerry, last wall finished?

Louis, I can understand supply chain problems with imported items, but things made domestically shouldn't be a problem.

Philip, haven't heard Paul's (Shamus) name in a long while.
I remember he rebuilt his layout often and really fast.

                  Larry, anything shake out?

Mike, hope your downsizing is going smoothly.

Tom, hope all is well with you.

Ron, I remember that coffee table layout.

BigLars, Kyle and others, all good in your world?

Bike ride after I finish this post.
                  Then breakfast.
Got some more things listed here and on FB and even sold a few things.
I'll try and get more of that done today.

Almost forgot, it was Brian that got me hooked on On30 when he posted his models here.

                  Have a great day everyone.

                  Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee. Bon chance on your sales.

Downsizing and packing are going well. I need to list a few things in the locals hoping they sell before we leave.

After yesterday's toils, Sweetie and I cruised to Sonic for a burger. I think it was my first since the heart attack.

                  Back to work,

Good morning Rick and Mike and those following, Sweetie looks a lot like a couple of white fluffy creatures the Doll had early in our relationship, they always were fun. I still miss Jasper, expecially, as he was a vacuum cleaner for excess bits of food. I think he could wolf a pancake half his size in about 6 seconds.

Another gorgeous day yesterday and some outside work still accomplished but not as much as the day before. Was up to 64 in the area and cloudless. Today is back to grey card blahwith wet stuff later on, maybe about dark, as they said this afternoon.

Still have to get the snow gear on the Deere as that dreaded 4 letter word is in the forecast later in the week. It appears our friends coming back from FL for the holiday season are bringing the usual total change in the weather with them as often happens. 7 day forecast shows 30 degree high temps. This Indian Summer is indeed on it's last gasps.

Happily the furnace guy has everything all tuned and ready to go. He was one of the most informative guys we've ever had answering a good number of questions and gave suggestions on more efficient use of our equipment here as well as at Northern Command.

No big news here, nor plans.

                  Be Well, y'all!

Good morning Rick, Mike, Karl and the rest of the crew who comes in later.

                    Thanks for the coffee RIck.

Another nice day in Southern Ontario, Gracie and I had another pleasant walk this morning.

Mike, you and Sweetie looks like you really enjoyed your trip to Sonic.

Still waiting on Jerry to start his thread on the engine house, of if he has started it I missed it.

Hopefully I'll get the the workbench tonight.

                    Have a great evening everyone.

We are having unusual weather around here in Rhode Island. Again already 56 degrees headed for 60's today.

Not sure what I'll be doing yet. Time will tell. What ever you all decide to do, enjoy your day.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. See you all on the Forum.

                        Morning Gents,

Rick thanks as usual for the coffee. Actually I managed to get in
some bench time yesterday still working on foreground #2 scene.
Nice to hear your selling off some of your stuff.

Mike that is the sweetest dog; so cute and I hope you shared your
Burger with her. Don't overdue on the packing though. Persist.

Karl usually when you get crappy weather we end up getting the
same about two days later but feel free to keep it there. It's a nice
feeling when you know the furnace is all set to go and is working well.

Ron enjoy your "pleasant weather" walks while you can. I'm right there
with you waiting to see Jerry's fine work.

Rest of the Crew hope all's well in your world.

A nice 45 this a.m. with a high of 59 here in New York. Looks like most
of the trees are pretty much bare for the winter winds to whistle threw.
An early trip to Home Depot this morning for a new mini blind for one
of the living room windows which will get installed this afternoon.
Have a haircut appointment later this morning; although there's not
much left to cut anymore. Bench time...?

Enjoy your day and be safe and stay healthy.
