  • Afternoon everyone

Rick thanks for opening and the coffee.
I just read a couple of pages skipping around that brings back a lot of memories and some of those people are longer with us.

Weather wise we got another 5" of the white stuff. But it seems to be melting quickly.

Mike hope your Dr. visit goes well.

Ron I hope you get that modeling area set up sooner than later!

Tom a pleasure having you here.

Larry & Karl hope your day goes well.

    Everyone have a wonderful day!!

    Jerry

    • 5" of the white stuff and 12 f. Crazy cold today.

Thanks for the well wishes to my family & neighbor.

Mike, I think tinkercad has a live forum type area where we can discuss exchange how-to/ tutorials perhaps. Not sure how it works.
      I'll look again.

Casting today...kinda like washing dishes. Listening to Jim Kellow new tracks modeling in the background. Great nerdy show.

      Have a great evening.

      • Just threw some logs on the fire! It's nice and toasty in here now.

24 here in Jersey at least where I'm at.

The bar is fully stocked for a Friday night get together so if your around stop by and sit by the fire.
And talk about the day's events (Modeling that is)...

Started the Boiler for the machine shop or just took it out of the box.
It will be posted in the Cripple Creek RR.
I guess I should start that now that I think I know where I'm going.

Anywho if your around join me for a chat. I'm having the Old Forest Old Fashion I found all the ingredients.

I'll be back later to see who's awake!

          • Hello. Jerry, I reloaded the fire to get the heat back up. I will have a straight water as I try to prepare for sleep. My woes continue and I noted some of them in the Saturday lounge if interested. I will get through this.

What’s left of my man cave space since we sold the house to the daughter. My sleep chair is to the side. The train room is behind the fireplace

            • Good morning everyone,

Coffee is on and for breakfast today we have bacon, sausage, ham, fried potatoes, baked beans and eggs, anyway you like them.

It's a cool 19F is Southern Virginia this Saturday morning and it seems that the predicted "yucky" stuff went around us this time.

Tom, the fire sure looks inviting and I hope you got some sleep.

              Rick, be safe at work.

Jerry, modeling space gets set up tomorrow as I work Saturdays now.

              Have a great day everyone.

              • Good morning everyone.

Ron, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
I threw a few more logs on the fire to keep the place warm.

Sunny, with a high near 31.

Ron, have fun setting up your modeling space.

Tom, that fire looks nice and cozy.
Read your post in the other lounge and hope everything works out in your favor.

Jerry, I guess taking something out of the box is a start.

Philip, hope the casting went well.

Larry, any progress on the roof.

Karl, hope your weather improves some.

                Louis, good morning.

Mike, have fun with the cad software.

I usually don't work on my days off.
But when I found out they needed someone to run The Dinky last night I couldn't turn down 12 hrs at time and a half.
                Easy money.
Up way too early so hope to get a little more sleep before going back to work later.

                Have a great day everyone.

                • Single digit temps and sun this morning in Michigan, temps to climb thru out the day to above freezing by nightfall and freezing rain overnight.

We had a nice dinner at the daughter's for the Doll's grand daughter's 19th birthday. Up a bit later than usual this morning, but that;s ok.

                  Everyone have a good day.

Maybe some bench time later on.

                      Thanks for starting us Ron!

Rick, Does this forum have a chat function? Also I noticed a new member commented in the visitors message center. I responded to him welcoming him & I can't seem to find the response or visitor message center? Weird. And he is a member.

Somehow I stumbled on his profile and thought it was odd no one had said anything to the guy.

                    • Afternoon Gents,

Ron thanks for the coffee and sorry I missed breakfast. Yes get the modeling area setup...priorities.

Rick don't blame you for grabbing the easy money; you can add it to your retirement fund.

Tom the fire looks cozy and hope you get things sorted out soon.

Karl single digit temps just plain suck; we're right there with you.

Jerry looking forward to your new thread and have fun in the snow.

Philip keep warm and enjoy a relaxing day.

The rest of the Crew hope all's well in your world.

A whomping 1 degree this morning and hopefully going up to 27 here in New York. A couple inches of snow fell last
night so I guess I have to go play in the snow later. Work's progressing on the Store roof, taking my time so it
                      comes out well.

Keep warm and cozy today. Be well!!!

                        • 33 degrees at 0845 and forecast to plunge thru-out the day, brr. Single digits at times the next 36-48 hours but no major precipitation. The sidewalk out front looks like it did the freezing rain thing.

The Doll and I went on a bit of a road trip yesterday, thru Battle Creek and K'zoo and then back to a stop in Hastings for a meal out at Appleby's. It still is awfully dark awfully early. The morning's bright sun disappeared before we hit BCrk and it stayed grey all day. We enjoyed the time out and dinner was a treat. Been in a rut on meals lately. As we drove the final leg of the ride at twilight last eve it appears that the deer are out in big numbers foraging in the fields, with the snow it's easier to see their silhouettes in the low light. One field we passed had what appeared to be over 50 deer in it.

No big plans today, we bought a ceiling light to replace one she's grown tired of, will see about getting it installed later.

Everyone have a fine day. Be SAFE!

                          • Good morning Crew. Misty rain last night turned of course into ice. This morning the high was reached for the day at 3am and heading into single digits with wind chills into the minus teens. Wind gusts into the 20’s. Tomorrow will not be as nice as today will be. Tuesday it shows into the 30’s.

Having spent years outside at Bear games in Chicago and outside in Green Bay yes, outdoor games are different in miserable single digit weather. When we finally got indoor seating at both stadiums the fun comfort level picked up. But, there is nothing like freezing in multiple layers cheering a team on to win in the outdoors.

                            • Good morning guys and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening the lounge for our daily chat and cup of brew.

36 degrees, with rain on and off today here in Rhode Island. It will wash away maybe some of this snow we got.

I guess I'll get in some bench time today. Yesterday was spent answering a thousand questions for my 7 year old great grand daughter. Nice to know she is getting interested in model railroading. But why all the questions in one day.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. See you all on the RR-L Forum.
