  • Good morning tom, Rick, Jerry, Louis, Karl and everyone else who drops in later.

Thanks for the very strong coffee and breakfast Tom.

Tom, nice start on the bulkhead flatcar.

Cooler here (30F) in southern Ontario but another day of sunshine so no complaints here.

Finished the tractors last night, next project for the diorama is the steam engine, boiler, water tank and wood pile that will be installed at the back of the building.

    Have a great day everyone.

    • Hello again, nope I am not Adele nor do I have even 1/3 her money.

Slept a bit (45 minutes) after posting this morning. What the weather folks forgot to mention is the fog and mist. Which should linger until noontime.I did a brief walk this morning on the lit path and it felt good. Thankfully I am still able to walk the woods as we have no white ground cover.

      Rick, same device, my IPadPro.

Karl, enjoy Northern Command and don’t worry about spelling Escanaba it is still easier then Menominee.

Louis, Jerry, Mike and to all others thanks for the good luck on the sleep comments and the car shopping which Terry is handling with no luck

      • Morning Gents,

Tom thanks for the coffee and nice breakfast. Hope your able to get some sleep
soon; I've had those nights before and they're not pleasant. Nice looking flatcar.

Rick have a great work day. Eating is starting to get expensive though.

Jerry have safe travels and enjoy lunch with your friends.

Louis have fun working on the fire wagon.

Karl sounds like your weather can't quite make up it's mind. Yes it gets dark so early
now that I keep looking at the clock all evening....don't want to miss bedtime.

The rest of the Crew have a great day no matter what your up to.

A sunny 34 this am with a high of 43 here in New York with some rain later. Not much going
on here presently and maybe some bench time also.

Have a wonderful day. Be safe, be well, and stay warm.

        • Morning! Shop till we drop is the watch word of the day.

Thanks for the coffee Rick. Yep still breathing. Working on logging cars as time permits.

I felt that pain Tom. A guy wanted 9 bucks for a pack of Kadee #11 and 2 tiny packages of draft gears. Total weight 4oz. Ebay jerk. The other guy was 4 buck shipping.

Claire the kitten is finally coming downstairs and mixing with the adult cats. Still a bit skittish. Progress!

          Have a great day!

          • Hello modelers of trains and things. Another rough no sleep night in So. Central Wisconsin.

For you coffee drinkers we have the old switch tender blend and as with all RR coffee it’s hot, very caffeinated and probably not the best tasting. Omelettes any style and again with virtual anything is possible to make.

High wind warnings since 6pm last night now till 6am today. Consistent winds at 30-40mph with gusts up to 60. Besides not sleeping I will be calling the contractor in the daylight morning. The house is still under the new build warranty and the wind noise at the windows ???? is not acceptable. I guess if we hadn’t moved to this level of the house I wouldn’t have known. It’s fine upstairs but there are only a couple windows that are not part of the south facing wall.

Temperature at midnight was 62 and now at 4am it’s 29. The weather guy at 6 on tv said we would drop 40 degrees between 2 and 6 am.

Trains, none yesterday as I might have been all day 15 minutes total in the train room Click image for larger version

I will call the doctor also and try to get in. I can’t continue with little sleep and I will not take any pills. Heading off, fingers crossed and mind blanked.

            • Good morning everyone.

Tom, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
I'm up earlier than I wanted to be too.
Hope you get to see your doctor and he helps you get some sleep.
              Funny cartoon.
Just a guess on your user name.
Does your device have your password stored for here?

Patchy fog before 7am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 64.
WOW! Mid 60's in mid Dec.

Philip, hope you didn't really drop.

              Larry, bench time?

Ron and Jerry, since you're both into F1, I watched a movie the other night called Rush.
It's about Niki Lauda and James Hunt and their rivalry.
If you haven't seen it check it out.

Karl, great pic of the white out.

Louis, fireworks truck is coming along nicely.

              Jerry, hope lunch was good.

              Mike, how are you?

Going to go back to bed and get some more zzzz's before work.

              Have a great day everyone.

Follow along as my dog and I travel the country in our van.

And the stored password hasn't changed?
                  That's my only guess.
If you want contact Joe to reset your tloc password and see if that works.

              • Well this is embarrassing. I forgot to change the temporary password Joe gave me. Must be the sleep deprivation of the last 2 weeks.

              • Good morning Tom, Rick and the rest of the crew that crew that shows up later.

Tom, thanks for the coffee and omelets.

Going to be warmer that usual here today too. It is presently 4C (39F) with a high of 12C (54F)

Rick, saw the movie Rush, really enjoyed it. Netflex has a series called "Drive to Survive" about F1, real interesting series.

Tom, hope you bet the lack of sleep problem resolved, I went through that years ago, it was not fun.

                  • Good morning guys and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge this morning Tom. Nothing better to start our day than with a chat over a cup of brew.

41 degrees and clear here in Rhode Island today. Rained last night though. Not so good weather expected Saturday, so we'll see when it happens around here.

Finishing up my fireworks wagon today, and starting the fireworks shed I planned on adding to the project.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. See you all on the RR-L Forum.

For Ron back in I believe it was 1966 my family owned a restaurant in Odessa,NY. Right outside Watkins Glen. That year we had the Grand Prix association drivers and sponsors dinner at the restaurant. They were all there Clark, Hill, Moss you named them they were there. Stupid me never got one autograph from them!!
I believe we served near 500 diners that night.

                          • Hello folks from the train room. Back from the doctor visit where they decided they need3d vials full of ???? blood. Ordered me some pills to sleep which I am opposed to but I must get some sleep. He claims they are not addictive and contain no narcotics. Checking A1C, thyroid, PSA and a couple other things. Another appointment made for 12/22/2021. Meanwhile as I wait for the pharmacy to call and say pick this stuff up I am weathering some derails.

Window guys were here from the contractor and talked to Terry. 2 of the windows had no weatherstripping on a couple sections of the frame. They have it now. They did check the big south facing in Window wall. No issues there
