  • New snow on the ground but the drive and walk are almost clear. The temp in upper 20s with some fog hovering about ground level.

Helping the Doll with a project today. Still chasing the Rx.

Things to do, enjoy the day, all.

I hope the rest of the relocation goes well for you, Mike. Good to see you at the breakfast table.

    • Good morning Rick, Jerry, Philip, Mike, Karl, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening for our daily chat and cup of brew Rick.
30 degrees and sunny here in Rhode Island the littlest State in the Union. No snow forecast, so that's a good thing.
Getting in some more work with my vacuum car today. Found a filter for it yesterday at Wal-Mart.
Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. See you all on the Forum.

Good morning Philip and thanks for the coffee.

      • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and an assortment of cold sodas are ready for your enjoyment.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.

Jerry, didn't happen again yesterday but tomorrow is a good possibility.

Philip, no Black Friday sales on screws?

Mike, very good to hear from you.
Hope the house hunting and the rest of the moving is much better.

Karl, any luck with the Rx?

Louis, congrats on the filter find.

Larry, Ron and Mike, what's new?

        TGIF [:-party]

Already did my bike ride and breakfast next.

      • Good morning Philip, Rick and the rest of the crew that stops in later.

        Thanks for the coffee Philip.

Haven't checked in for a couple of days due to it being very busy at work. Starting a new project so need to get prepared, have a week of meetings. Fun, fun, fun. Today I also need to get my work visa renewed as it expired during the pandemic and until recently the border was closed.

Woke up to white stuff on the ground this morning so it was like walking in a winter wonderland with Gracie, but at least it wasn't cold, only -1C (30F)

No progress at the bench as I've been too tired once I got home from work, let's see what today brings.

        Have a great day everyone.

          • Thirties this morning and grey as can be. Some rain may fall at times today.

Got out a bit yesterday, exercised the snow blower for a bit, hardly needed it but it checked out fine for the next time we do.

After another round of calls I did finally get my Rx into the system, it should be ready today.

I spent a few moments putting grab irons on the loco project. Tons more to do sometime.

Plans for today are vague. Everyone have a good day.

Rick, I hope your weekend is going well.

              • Morning Gents,

Philip thanks for the java. It's tough trying to find tiny RR screws, online was probably
                a wise choice.

Rick have a great day at work and enjoy your weekend.

Ron sounds like your very busy. From past experience meetings, especially long ones, are
very tiresome; can't imagine a whole weeks worth. Good luck on the work visa.

Jerry have a great day no matter what you do.

Karl it's always nice to make sure the blower works before you get that foot of s#@w. Enjoy
                your time at the bench.

Louis I'm sure you'll figure out your day soon enough. So what's the next project look like.

Tom pretty soon you won't be in paradise anymore; you'll just be home. Good luck with
                everything.

Mike nice to hear from you and glad the move went well. It's funny how things didn't bother
you years ago but now....ugh!!! Good luck house hunting and hope your Texas house sells fast.

A cloudy 36 this morning and a high of 41 here in New York. Spent most of yesterday fighting
with Christmas lights and managed to get the front windows done. Today will finish up the outside
lights since it's not going be so cold then it's onto more inside lights. Hopefully by Friday ALL the
decorations will be done; then it's back to the bench.

Have a terrific days guys. Stay warm, be safe, and stay healthy.

              • Good morning at 11:20am from Wisconsin. We are back in the Badger state a few days earlier then the latest plan of 12/5. Free ride home as the brother has a business trip to the Windy City and free is free.

Lots to do here at home including grabbing a pick up from the stables to have something to drive. Sold my car back in October before I headed west. We will be here until January with possibly heading back to Maui around the 10th. My sister will be here for Xmas from 12/24 to 1/3 when she’ll fly back to Pasadena.

Trains, based on discussions with the daughter and her hubby they want the layout and my modeling bench kept up. The 80’ addition to the layout I will take down and forward those materials to Austin at the son’s place. If his house ever gets done I can set up in the bonus room above his garage or above the stables in the room there. 2 of Terry’s horses will be sent to Austin and the materials and other things will definitely fit in a trailer that can hold 8 horseys. The overall plan which in our household since retirement can change anytime is to be on Maui from January to May. A few weeks anytime in Austin and May to September in Wisconsin. October and November on Maui and December will be spent anywhere the family Xmas gathering will be.

Heard about some hunting issues the past gun deer season from the SIL. We are still having trespassing issues but between the DNR wardens and the County Sheriffs the SIL thinks it’s under control. There are 3 pickups on the property that the SIL has blocked in with large boulders that are trespassing. He did that to our trespasser a couple years ago and the Sheriff got another big kick about it. The truck owners can’t do anything about their trucks being blocked as they are illegally parked on clearly marked property behind a fence. They have to work with the attorney to get the trucks back.

Seems strange that soon we will be calling Maui home and not Wisconsin. In 1970 I started school in Milwaukee at Marquette and basically except for 3 years of working in Chicago during the week and commuting to Racine I have been here since. Terry was born and raised here.

                LarryC., thanks for the thoughts.
Mike, good to hear from you. Surprised to read about your concern on selling the Texas house, but best to you on that. Glad your move went well.
Karl S, a great college football season for your team and while I truly dislike the guy from a-squared, I have always not cared from the Buckeyes since the Wood Hayes days. Glad you had a non-taxing run with the blower that moves the white stuff away.
Louis, you have earned the right not to worry about what is next in the day
Jerry, hit the beach if you can
Ron, enjoy the meetings and work. I miss neither.
Rick, are you counting the days down? Be safe out there.

Well that’s a wrap. I have learned during November that my day didn’t need to revolve around model train or Facebook forums. I have greatly reduced the places I now visit by actually deleting them from my directory. With no golf in Wisconsin except in the simulator I have time to go back but will try real hard not to dig them out of 5he delete bucket.

Mike, hope the house hunting is going well.

Already went to fill a vial with blood for next weeks cardiologist appointment.
                Grocery shopping later.
Laudry, vacuuming, and other chores to do too.
Some relaxing with a cigar when that's all done.

                Have a great day everyone.
