  • Good morning Rick, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee Rick and the breakfast Jerry.

Finished up my tractor last night and it is ready for the paint shop, I'll try to post pictures tonight.

I Have watched F1 for as long as I remember, even went to a few races in Montreal when I lived there. I agree with you about the passing but that has gotten better lately on the new circuits.

    Have a great day everyone.

      Cool man!

  • Morning ! Thanks for the coffee and fried egg sandwich!

I actually had to google F1. Thought it was a computer function.
I usually watch the crazy isle of wight death wish motorcyclist, just for the rush.

Same ole same ole here. Pretty boring colder day here. Gena is meeting her friends today so I shall rule the manor!

When your done Jerry come over and help clean my oven and Jenn-aire!
Actually I'm working on it slowly but those fume free cleaners should be renamed.

All of you all have a great Monday!

    • 30 degrees with a peak of sun on a day with temps forecast to soar all the way to 34

Sort of a low key day yesterday, took the Doll for a hair appointment and wandered around part of Lansing i’ve not been in for a long time, hoping the evil doers seeming to run rampant lately were still sleeping. After she was done we went for a ride. Some of the farmers were still trying to get the crops done but 80-90% of the fields are now bare.

We did watch the Sunday night roller coaster ride btw LA and Pitts. I’m sure the yellow and black felt it was the pits…

Cornbread in the oven smells good. Have to rustle something up to have with it…a new stick of butter, too.

      Everyone be well.

Morning! Ah, cornbread & butter! Even sounds good with Jerry's egg sandwich!

    • Good morning Rick, Jerry, Ron, Philip, Karl, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Rick. As usual best way to start the day with a chat and cup of brew.

My day brought nothing but rain and overcast with a cold wind most of the day yesterday. I just cleaned up the train room a bit to get ready to start another mess soon.

Bad news from Waukesha, Wisconsin, now that is another senseless killing. But, in todays world, they are glorifying it all. The worse you do, the more of a hero you become.

53 degrees and raining today here in Rhode Island. Not sure what my day will bring yet. Time will tell.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. See you all on the Forum.

      • Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the java this morning. My Sunday=helped the Boss wash down the Kitchen walls
for the holidays but did manage to finish the back wall for the new store; now waiting for a lumber
order to side them inside and out.

Jerry I'll take one of those sandwiches...thanks. We have some of the outside decorations done.
The rest and inside will happen after 12/1. So is the model room all neat and tidy?

Ron looking forward to seeing your finished tractor. Should be a nice addition to your
        repair shop.

Philip have fun ruling the manor!!! I agree those fume-free cleaners are far from it.

Karl nothing like the smell of cornbread baking. I've had it with maple syrup before; although
it's sweet it tastes sooo good; enjoy.

Louis sounds like cleaning "train rooms" has become the norm around here. I've done the
same a few times myself.....can't stand to work on a messy bench. Have fun sorting out your
        day.

Tom, Mike, and Roland enjoy your day.

A semi cloudy, chilling 37 this am with a high of only 39 here in New York....brrrr. Ran a few errands
early this morning and brought home breakfast for me and the Boss. A little stiff after all the cleaning
yesterday. A good excuse to get to the bench later.

Have a wonderful day everyone. Be safe, stay healthy and warm.

        • Good morning from the Pacific. Early morning here with the temps heading to low 80’s but with rain forecasted. We shall see if the rain water flows off the living roofs on the garage and the greenhouses into to the water cistern. That water will be used in the future landscaping and feed the plants in the greenhouses.

Golf at 10 this morning. We will be here until the 15th of December and that was the original date. The brother heads off to a Wednesday Wisconsin meeting now moved to Milwaukee instead of Marshfield. I have never seen the brother this nervous over a business deal.

We spent time in July in downtown Waukesha where that driver ran over those folks. Just terrible.

When I return from the golf around 2 I will start laying out the steel studs for the trainroom in the garage. The house in Wisconsin uses them but this will be a first for me to use them. The contractor said it’s very easy, we shall see!

          Have a great day

          • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and an assortment of cold sodas are ready for your enjoyment.

Increasing clouds, with a high near 44.

Jerry, have fun decorating on day 2.

Ron, I guess I'll have to look into seeing some races on the new tracks.
I mentioned that IMO F1 drivers are the most skilled.
After a little more thought I think rally racers are up there too.

Philip, cleaning the oven doesn't sound like ruling the manor to me.

Karl, the cornbread and new butter sound good.

Louis, have fun making a new mess.

Larry, any excuse to get back to the bench is a good one.

Tom, hope the studs went up easily.

            Mike, hope you're doing well.

            Already did my bike ride.
Breakfast next then back to work.

            Have a great day everyone.

I was demoted to domestic servant. lol! Same today!

          • Morning Gents,

Rick thanks for the coffee. Happy to report the "excuse" worked like a charm; although
I won't be able to "play" that card very often. Managed to add a little more foreground
and glued down the outside track of the "ladder" on the right side of the layout. Now it's
on to painting and ballasting the track over the next week or so.

The rest of the Crew have a wonderful day. Be safe, stay warm and stay healthy.

A chilly 22 this am with a high of only 39 here in New York. Received an inch or so of the "white crap"
last night....ugh.....too early for this. The Boss has more stuff on her list for the next couple days getting
ready for "turkey day". So I'll have to sneak in some bench timer when I can.

            Be well!!!!!

            • Temp 18 a bit earlier, cruizin' up to 23 here so far and may slide into home at around 40, 'tis sunny, at least.

Highlight yesterday was a trip to the grocery store. It's pretty much all remodeled over the last few months, and everything in the place is moved around. For some reason they took the pet stuff and put it on the totally opposite side of the store, guess they hope to hook you into seeing something you don't know you need on the roundtrip. They also spread things out, must have removed 1/3 of their displays by spreading them out and cutting down the heights of things. One glazed eyed woman walked up to me and said...."I sure as hell hate coming here any more" -end of rant-

Not much else, oh yes, the corn bread was fine! See what we can conjure up today with it so cold out, I don't foresee any ventures out.

              Everyone be well

It is 34 degrees but sunny here in Rhode Island, the littlest State in the Union. It has been jumping from the 30's to the 50's day after day. It's crazy.

I started a RR track vacuum car project that I hope you will all checkout, and follow along with the build.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. See you all on the Forum.

Larry, we're ready for update photos when you're ready.

Ron, how's the tractor coming along?

Tom and Mike, hope you are both doing well.

                        TGIF! [:-party]

Amtrak had us lined incorrectly as we headed to the yard last night.
Had us going to Philly instead of the yard and the engineer didn't catch it quick enough to stop.
I had to get on the hind end and direct a shove move.
Not hard to do but got to stay on your toes.

                        Have a great day everyone.
