    • Morning crew!

Busy as a beaver today. Casting and later I'm going to fix some trackwork that needs reattached. When we
broke down and moved the modules a couple of the track ends snagged on my sleeve and unattached like a zipper! I had originally attached ties
with Alleen's glue. Crime of the century! Don't do that! I'm not nailing it down either as those nail heads are unsightly.
I'm testing double sided #465 3m tape on a test piece. Seems to hold well. Not sure how it will react
to ballasting with wet glue. I'll follow up later. Comments/suggestions welcomed.

I'll pass on the hand laying track Rick.
Not seeing google ads today. Was like a hijacking yesterday as the entire RRL page was canvassed & annoying.

BTW: My recent ultrasound from last Friday was negative! Relieved !

      Have a great day!

            • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and an assortment of cold sodas are ready for your enjoyment.

Sunny, with a high near 47.

Louis, 70 here yesterday today only in the 40's.

Karl, had the look up Petosky Stones, they are neat looking.
Also, Pogo is an interesting looking cat.

Larry, there have discussions here about having figures on a layout or not.
I was always in the minority with the view of not having figures.

Ron, that freezing rain can be worse than the s@#$.

Jerry, hope you enjoyed your birthday dinner.

Philip, congrats on the negative ultrasound.

Tom and Mike, hope you're both doing well.

Roland, how's your new project coming along?

Grocery shopping and meal prep first.
Then a podiatrist appointment and a visit with Mom after.
Maybe mess with the leaves a little more.
Mostly a waste of though, since there are still a lot of leaves on trees and the wind blows the neighbors leaves over here.

              Have a great day everyone.

TY!.....had surgery on my left arch back in the 80's. Plantar fascia release was the procedure.Good luck and nice Mom visit!

            • 30 degrees here in MI this morning, up early. There is a strip of clear off to the East but another shade of grey overhead that I bet will take over as ole Sol arises

We got a new microwave and it was not so heavy and cumbersome bringing it into the house but I stretched a little used anymore muscle in my shoulder and it is bugging me a bit waking me up.

We have an inch or so of snow on the back deck, looking at the radar at times yesterday it seems we were on the edge of the lake effect bands. Closer to the lake, more snow I'm sure. The walk and drive appear not to have any snow and look dry.

Big progress. I got the clear parts out of the cab of the loco I have. Stripping later, if I can find the old bread loaf pan I used in the past.

I have an appointment so see someone at the Doctor's office. My Rxs are expiring, my actual doc got fed up with the system and PC so left so I'm seeing a Nurse or such. Not a favorite activity for me. I'll miss blunt say what ya mean Joe.

Everyone have a good day. Be Well

              • Morning everyone

Rick thanks for opening and the coffee.
But I'll make a fresh pot.

Weather here in South Jersey sunny/41.
Well the Lunar eclipse they said we would see for sure disappeared in the rain last night.
Another great forecast by the "WEENIES"!!

Dinner was great last night friends showed up from PA. and we went to a new Italian restaurant.

Errands to run today then some bench time.

                Everyone have a great day!

                • Morning Gents,

Rick as usual thanks for the java. I see your point with the LP's but
for me it gives the layout some life; but that's just me. Hopefully
tomorrow no rain and a little warmer to do ONE last grinding of the leaves
since most of them are down. Good luck at the Docs.

Karl your weather sucks about as much as ours does. I can't blame some
of the Docs for "throwing in the towel" with their practice. Before long you
won't be find a Doc and you certainly want to avoid Hospitals at all costs.

Jerry glad to hear you had a nice dinner with friends and Birthday. Still waiting
to see your new build thread.

To the rest of the Crew hope you all have a great day.

A chilly, snowy 30this am with a high of 41 here in New York. Not ready for winter
by any stretch of the imagination. Early trip for a few grocery items then a trip to the
transfer station with the trash. Helping the Boss with some deep cleaning of the
Kitchen today. So bench time ????

Enjoy your day. Be safe, keep warm, and stay healthy.

                  • Good morning Rick, Karl, Jerry, Larry and the rest of the crew that comes in later.

Thanks for the coffee Rick & Jerry.

It's 3C (38F) and sunny here in southern Ontario and Gracie and I had a brisk walk this morning.

Philip, glad the ultrasound came back negative.

Started putting together the bates tractor last night, got the side frames for the tracks assembled. The tracks themselves are going to be a challenge as they are big and bulky. I'm used to putting together 1/48 and 1/35 tracks which are much more fine. Might have to buy after market tracks, it's going to be interesting.

                    Have a great day everyone.

Now somebody please tell me again why you don't have room for a layout?
                    No excuses!

All is well on the homefront.

You all have a great day!

                    • Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and an assortment of cold sodas are ready for your enjoyment.

Increasing clouds, with a high near 47.

                      Philip, I remember Larry's layout.
That's from the cork board challenge.
He did a fantastic job of squeezing a lot into a small area.

Ron, have fun with the tractor build.

Larry, there's no right or wrong when it comes to little people.

Jerry, what happened at the bench?

Karl, hope your shoulder is better today and that your Dr. visit went well.

Louis, Tom and Mike, hope you are all well.
Same for Roland, BigLars, Kyle, Dan and anyone else looking in.

After a two week break it's time to get back on the bike.
They added a new map to the software and I'll ride one of the new routes today.
Later today it's time to go back to work.

BTW, raking leaves was a total waste of time.
Looked at the yard yesterday morning and it was littered with leaves again.

                      Have a great day everyone.

                        • More of that grey low ceiling today. Temp in 20s

All went well at the medical visit, all my "Magical numbers" seem to be in good order and my Rx were all refilled for the year. May be getting a referral for the tingling fingers in the rt. hand. Good BP and A1C and the little girl, err Nurse Practitioner got one more visit under her belt. Didn't get any of the long list of intrusive bs questions this time around so all was well.

I guess I'll rustle up some grub and get the set ready for this weeks grid iron event at noon. Those walnuts from So. Ohio may be a bit tougher than we've seen this year.

Paint stripping going well on the diesel. Get her out of the vat of ETOH later.

That little layout in the photo above is fantastic and a well crafted display.

                          Be Well, everyone.

Rick that two weeks went by fast I'm sure. Don't get lost on that new bike route.

It's 37 degrees and sunny here in Rhode Island today. Not sure what my day will bring. Tine will tell.
