Thanks for the comments Scott, Mike, Roland and Jerry.

Primed the tractors last night, at least the top side. Tonight I will prime the underside.

I also started to build the steam engine that will power the line shaft for the machines, it's a Crow River kit. Not much progress to report there as I started filing the flash off the parts.

Ron great job on both tractors!! I also am looking forward to the finished product.
I've used different items from Crow River and yes they do need some cleaning but
the price isn't bad at all.

Amazing fabrication Ron. As a former tracked artilleryman you nailed a very convincing track being maintained!

Is that kit track pliable? How did you get it into a sagging pose?

BTW: The tools and steam stuff looks great also! Catching up...

Thanks for the comments Mike, Rick, Philip, Jerry and Louis.

Work has been keeping me busy so not much progress, but the tractors and steam engine are primed and the tractors received there first coat of paint.

Philip, the donor kit for the track comes with straight pieces of track and individual links. So the track that follows the top roller was made with individual links as was the track around the drive sprocket.

I can see that the Bates tractor needs a second coat of paint.

Next up, weathering them to make it look like they are working tractors.
