Completing the Lyon Tractor & Railcar Works

    Thanks MIchael, me too.

    Update ........ Finished the tracks for the Bate's tractor.

    Once I disassembled the tracks I had to add spacers in order for the drive sprocket from the Tamiya donor kit to fit.

    The two track frames reassembled with the required spacers.

    The idler wheels required "flat spots" in order to fit right on the track frames.

    All in all I am happy how they turned out and I believe look more realistic that the tracks that came with the kit.

    Is anyone in the market for a Tamiya Panzerkampfwagon IV Ausf.H (late production) that is missing the tracks and wheels?

      I too used to build Tamiya kits when I was a kid. Nice kit bash and save on the tractor tracks.

                        Mike, tank repair shop? Maybe that should be my next build.

                        Here are a couple pictures of the assembled tractors ready for paint.

                        First up is the Bates Tractor.

                        The other tractor that comes the kit is the Cat. I finished building that a long time ago but it is ready for paint too.

                        I can do the primer but will have to wait till the weekend to get the finish colour. Back in the late 20's and early 30's tractors were typically painted grey.

                        Might have to start something else while I wait.

                            Both models are excellent. I like what you did with the tractor under repair. It tells a story and gives purpose to the building.
