Hi...
My name is Lance Russwurm. I actually was a member here for years under the handle "DaVinci1953" I just noticed that this site is up and operating again. I'm glad to see that it seems to have upgraded a lot.
I'm from Ontario, Canada. I've been a model railroader for 25 years or so in both N and HO scale. Currently I don't have any kind of layout, but I'm picking away at various dioramas. I particularly like building craftsman style structures and scenery - mostly in the steam
era, but I enjoy some early diesels too. The enclosed photo is a scene from a diorama I built many years ago that some of you may remember called "Bleeker Street" It was done for a contest sponsored by Downtown Deco. The theme was to be "The other side of the tracks". Normally, I do scenes set back in the steam era.
I'm semi-retired now. I was commercial artist for most of my life. I'm still doing some of that. I'm also a musician - still doing some performing. I like old mechanical things - trains, cars, airplanes etc. They show up in my art, and in my life. My current best toy is an old MG sports car.
