Good morning, Jim. I've done a bit of reconciling, next to dress, eat and head for Seashore: We're upgrading the brake valve on our old PRR H-31 hopper so we can get some ballasting finished. My only modeling yesterday turned out to be looking at signal circuit diagrams to confirm what's ready under the benchwork.

Good luck with your train show. Covid put a halt on most of all our train shows around here. I miss that.

It's 64 and sunny here in Rhode Island. I did some more work on my camp split store. Taking more time than I expected. Posted updates.

Good morning, guys. It's a sunny day in northern West Virginia.

Yesterday I prepped the ceiling by painting around the edges. It already looks better, motivation for getting it done. I thought we had picked out a color for the walls, but apparently not. Time to pick up some chips and make a decision.

Perhaps more garden work today.

Good morning to the entire crew. It is 66 degrees and cloudy here in S.E. Michigan. We should get to about 73 degrees later today. Showers moving in around dinner time.

I have to head to the Post Office to pick up our mail, get some diesel for the Kubota, then mow the back lawn. I got the front and side done yesterday after we got home.

Still a little unpacking to do after that. My brother unloaded some of his 'stuff' on me.

Good morning Crew and thanks Jim for opening. 16 ounces of H2O please. Per my doctor, testing is next Thursday and I am to go 7 days without soda. They are searching, so I am a Guinea Human, I am not a pig!

Weather sucks in Wisconsin, they call it seasonal. It’s now 54f degrees feels like 51 and going to 66 hopefully. Very dreary looking out the windows.

Took some buildings off the layout to clean things up yesterday. The north side of the papermill was removed, the area was vacuumed, the buildings cleaned of some dust, the concrete has 2 coats of weathering with probably 2 more needed. When the concrete is weathered each building will be dull coted and put back, weathering of those on another time line.

What basically started of as a track inspection and repair to be followed by ballasting turned more involved. Found some tracks needing repairs, too much dust accumulation and ballasting needs. Hopefully the buildings will be back Monday.

Looks like the 1st nice day this week here - been to the grocery and back; coffee, everything bagel, tea......and maybe we'll get that Hoosier cabinet ready to stain today!

Yesterday was home office & shop, but also a wood splitting session, and then the new stove arrived, so we've got an over and cook top again! Better 1/2 is happy with her choice so I'm betting brownies later today.

Getting set up for my resin casing clinic at next week's MER convention; think I have everything now.........other than my remaining shred of sanity, that's rapidly eroding.

99% packed up for the Strasburg O scale meet on Sat. --- got to sell off this stuff if only to make room for the next 6 months of cars and kits I build!

But, the home office also calls today.....editor jobs are never ending....

Good Morning all you modeling geeks and train buffs from Taxeschusetts~,

Spent the last couple of days leaf-peeping in ILovermont & Cowhampshire. We got lucky and had the second-best day of foliage we've ever seen in the last 30+ years. I didn't take one picture and remember everything. (old school traveling)

One note tho: Excluding mom & pop pizza parlors, Finding real restaurants for lunch and dinner were almost nil?

Those that were open had a small staff and said no workers was the problem.

Some towns actually closed down at 4 pm (including Dunkin Donuts

). But to our surprise, we saw and met great people from all over the country (easily a dozen states)! I had fun stepping in and taking group pictures of couples, sisters, friends, etc. instead of letting each other take the pictures. People from everywhere were friendly & happy to be out and seeing the country side!

God Bless the American spirit...

Good afternoon, Jim and crew. It's a sunny day in Tidewater Virginia with temps sneaking into the 80's.

Pat and I went out for breakfast and errands this morning. We have a lot of travel planning to do - scheduling Covid tests and the like. I miss the good old days.

Westbound from the bridge headed to Northern Command in overcast 64 degrees. The off and on rain S of the straits has ceased. I think I even see a little blue off to the West. Colors looked great in the Grayling to Gaylord and Mac area, more subtle here in da Yoop where there’s more evergreens.

Traffic is moderate or more for a Thursday. Grey hairs with 5th wheels too big for their trucks are rolling roadblocks at a steady 45-55-60-45 wandering from buzz strip to buzz strip then speeding up once you get to a passing zone. Posted speed limit is 65 btw. Migration of the empty nesters
