Work in progress CN cylindrical hopper from Intermountain. Hand painted graffiti and weathering. I added the high visibility stripping and updated the load data. I still need to finish the other side.

Other WIP is this UP Thrall gondola from Atlas. I have got one side complete and pretty happy with the interior. I need to finish up the other side before calling it complete.

That is some great looking work. The first picture I saw, I thought it was a prototype until I read on. All cars and the last shows some great interior use/weathering.

            Greg,
This is some really good weathering sir! You've got a good eye for color and texture in your weathering. Very Nice! I'll be watching for more. Thanx Thom...

Fine weathering work, Greg. What did you use for the weathering?

ID:	965654I mostly use Vallejo paints for my weathering. I start by turning them is a wash and using them to give the car an overall fade. I then use the paint full strength to add various grime, rust spots, scratches and other marks. I f I am going to add graffiti I then paint the graffiti on. I do also use some Pan Pastels for things like the rust chunks in the gondola and on the trucks. For the fine lines on the hopper car I use pastel chalk pencils.

All the graffiti and weathering is hand painted. The only airbrushing I do is to use Dull Cote to seal the models.
