What's MUCH MORE IMPORTANT is that I haven't gotten a single '403' error or any other kind of error, after poking around unauthenticated, then logging in and doing other operations, including this post!!!

      I like the new look.
Looks more like home than a generic forum.

Sorry some of you are experiencing those pesky 403 errors.
I know the New Topics link will give everyone an error so don't use it.
For the other errors you're getting I wish I had an answer for you.

Much improved on appearance and all -- birthing and growing pains otherwise, but learning where stuff is and how to use it....
In a time like ours seemings and portents signify. Ours is a generation when dogs howl and the skin crawls on the skull with its beast's foreboding.

The dreaded 403 has largely disappeared for me as well. Back when I was experiencing that problem I was also having trouble with the login, often getting it wrong. I now have things set up such that I don't log out.

Okay, I'm not able to stay logged in even when checking the stay logged in box when I do log in. If I close the tab, I've still got to log in again next time I open the page.

Martin, are you clearing cookies before coming here?
If so, that's why you have to log in every time.
Clearing cookies disables the Remember function.

No; not clearing cookies. I understand what that would result in happening.

In fact the 1st day or 3 after I was able to get in, the remember function worked just fine. And then it stopped working.

I remember having that problem of the remember function not working. My memory is that I had success getting remember to work by first clearing recent history (including cookies, cache, etc.), getting on the RRL website, entering my password and checking the remember me box, and logging on.

Lou & All: Who was the guy several years ago designing logos for your personal railroad names? Was like the R-LF photoshop master. Searched and no luck.
            Thanks in advance.
